Incorrect. Currently Hulk and Banner are separated. Hulk found a life of peace, until the government came looking for him because Banner went ape s*** trying to recreate the Hulk in himself. So Hulk is the hero, Banner the villain. Wait, what?

Yeah, I'm thinking Hulk......unless the fight was on the ocean floor for some reason. Then, yeah.....Aquaman kind of has a fighting chance. On land, he has ZERO......unless Hulk is in his Banner or Joe Fixit form (And I'd like to think both would be able to find a way to beat Aquaman). If he's any incarnation of the green hulk....Aquaman's toast before he gets started on land. I'd hope Peter David would write this confrontation, though, were it to ever actually happen, as he has done REALLY well with both characters, and would find ways to make it interesting.

Couldn't Aquaman just use his psychic powers to screw with Hulk's head as he's done with some humans?

This. What the f***'s that crap? I guess I'm too far behind. Last Hulk book I read, he was Banner and could turn into Hulk at will. He'd basically just reconciled with Betty Ross (Red She Hulk) and the two of them went leaping off into the sun set together. That was back in October or so though so I guess a lot could have happened since then.

This. What the f***'s that crap? I've read that Reed Richards is a villain now and The Thing is banging the Invisible Woman. It's a whole new Marvel.

Couldn't Aquaman just use his psychic powers to screw with Hulk's head as he's done with some humans? That's NEVER a good idea with the Hulk. He's resistant to that kind of stuff because Banner's head is so f***ed up. I hear Jean Grey tried to warp Grey Hulk's mind once. Since she was standing there, arms outstretched, eyes closed, teeth gritted (standard psychic stance), Hulk just rolled his eyes and said "Well, you ain't gonna WISH me away, lady."

So... what keeps Hulk from being a Mary Sue? The same thing that keeps Batman, Superman, and Flash from all being Mary Sues (nothing?) All of them still have nothing on Wolverine.

Couldn't Aquaman just use his psychic powers to screw with Hulk's head as he's done with some humans? Yes. NO! In the World War Hulk story, Hulk resisted the combined mind-whammy of Emma Frost and Professor X. Aquaman ain't winning that way. Then there was another instance where Hulk developed gills, so even if the fight was underwater, Hulk could still breathe. And more recently, Hulk destroyed several planets by colliding with Red She-Hulk. Hulk wins this in a literal stomp.

The same thing that keeps Batman, Superman, and Flash from all being Mary Sues (nothing?) Well, Superman has kryptonite, Flash has speed force overuse, and Batman has bullets. Hulk has well, what exactly? Is he just the most awesomest hero ever? he's still got a long way to go before he matches Red Hulk in terms of sueness. seriously, Marvel, when Jeff Parker can't make him cool it's time to toss him into the Sun with The Sentry.

So Hulk is the hero, Banner the villain. yeah, but that's not going to stick. it'll play out fine but this is Marvel we're talking about, the same company that blew up its own continuity because heaven forbid Magneto actually be a bad guy. as soon as Jason Aaron leaves the title it'll get handed to a lazier writer who hammers in the old status quo, just like always. then again Red Hulk is still around for some stupid reason so what do I know?
