To be honest, I'm not sure if I ever believed in Santa Claus, or I did but just don't remember when I found out. I'm inclined to believe the latter.

If Santa isn't real, then why do I have a photo of me and him at the mall yesterday?
(I found out when I was 11...but to be fair, I was a very stupid kid.)

At around age 3 or 4. But if or when I have kids, I'll won't kill the magic for them until they're maybe like, six. Or at least until they reach the age where other kids might start making fun of them for believing in Santa.

I don't remember how old I was, but I realized that Santa and my dad had the same handwriting.

I "knew" when I was pretty young, maybe 7 or 8, but was in denial until I got in a fight with my mom once over some schoolwork and it turned into a thing where she wondered aloud who in the world loved me if she didn't and and I responded "Santa Claus." She just fired back "You're in for a real surprise this year, buddy, because I'm Santa Claus and you're not getting anything." That was in the third grade.
Thanks for helping me dredge up that memory.

I don't remember ever really buying it. I kind of always knew.
Same with wrestling. I don't think I ever thought it was totally legit.

I never believed in Santa. Since, you know, the whole "Jewish" thing.

I always suspected, but found out for sure when I was like 8. At that moment I realized that the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny were fake too, and have never quite been able to believe in other things that I probably can't get into due to forum rules.
I wasn't angry about the fact that he wasn't real, but I felt like adults were a bunch of liars that I could no longer trust, and I think it killed my innocence.

I "knew" fairly early on (Maybe around 6ish) but my Dad has always been of the mentality of "If you believe in Santa, He'll believe in you". Having a little brother and sister that are 17 years younger than me (They're 8 this year for those trying to do the mental math) has made "Believing" easier.

Santa Claus is kind of messed up when you really think about it. He's an old fat guy that makes sit on his lap, asks you if you're naughty or nice, and then gives you presents afterwards.

So let me get this straight, I'm the only person on this forum who found out about Santa in his double digits? ... Santa Claus is kind of messed up when you really think about it. He's an old fat guy that makes sit on his lap, asks you if you're naughty or nice, and then gives you presents afterwards. And if you were naughty he gives you a lump of coal. Which is kind of weird. You'd think if you were naughty he'd give you nothing.

I don't have a clue when I was told/figured it out, but I always really knew the truth. There was only one logical explanation as to why Santa's handwriting was eerily similar to Mommy's.

I don't think I ever really "believed" but my parents divorced when I was young (about first grade) so I kinda learned quick. It wasn't even that big of deal, I just kinda figured out "Hey, there's no reason why I should be getting double the presents...and half of them BEFORE Christmas."

To be honest, I'm not sure if I ever believed in Santa Claus, or I did but just don't remember when I found out. I'm inclined to believe the latter. Same boat, I think i've always been a skeptical kid. I remember my mom telling me that I would basically ask questions about everything all the time. I don't think I've ever had a belief in anything supernatural. At least nothing more than a very young child just taking his parents word for it kind of thing, but I don't even remember that.

Since when was Santa a title for guys? Shouldn't it be Santo? No wonder this happened: Always believe.
