My cousin *8* recently found out and he's super angry that people lied to him. I actually never knew who Santa was by name, as my pops made it a habit to tell me that no white person in a suit gives me toys. So I was picked on for not believing in Santa Claus in the 1st grade.

When I was 10 and my dad told me in the car, I had a feeling the big man wasn't real so I wasn't that upset.

My parents hammered it in that Santa isn't real when I was like 3 years old, along with the Tooth Fairy.
However, my dad dressed up as Santa for kicks during Yuletide, and they still gave me money for lost teeth, so it wasn't that bad.

My dad made sure I never got the chance to believe in him.

Don't know when but didn't care because all that mattered to me was getting presents.

You know, Santa technically WAS real (St. Nicholas), he's just long dead. Somehow, we're better off telling kids he never existed.

I know the truth, but my Christmas spirit overshadows it. I prefer it that way

I don't think I ever actually believed in Santa to be honest.

I decided it by myself on Christmas when I was eight. I felt really smart.

I never believed in Santa. Since, you know, the whole "Jewish" thing.

I think it's sad to never believe and I wish I could find the quote but Gene Simmons was talking about illusions becoming real and I think it would work in this instance. He was a real man-as far as I'm concerned, we're carrying on his spirit

He's still real to me, dammit!
Actually, my father decided the best time to tell me the truth about Santa was on Christmas morning when I was about ten.
