I'm not particularly the biggest fan of Machine Gun Kelly's music, but this is one of the most genuine coolest things I've seen a rap artist do this year. Really inspirational stuff, had to share:

Machine Gun Kelly’s “Lace Up” motto has turned into something more than a catch phrase for an Ohio teen named Ryan Yex who suffers from cerebral palsy according to Fox 8 News. Yex, who walked for the first time on Saturday night when he was invited on stage by MGK, says that he has to thank the rapper for inspiring him.
The two met at a Blink-182 concert in Cleveland during this past summer after Yex shouted the rapper’s slogan. “When you see MGK, you gotta yell, ‘Lace up!’” He came over to me and I told him how much his music and his message inspires me,” said Yex.
The two kept in contact since they originally met and Yex promised MGK that he would one day walk at on of Wild Boy’s concerts. When Yex was invited onto the stage at Bowling Green by MGK at this past Saturday’s show he told MGK he was ready, and the 17-year-old called on his fellow MGK fans to make some noise before walking for the first time without support. “I had so much adrenaline going through my body. I was just ready to walk,” Yex told Fox 8 News.
MGK’s movement has been the subject of some negative press in the past year after he organized a flash mob in a Cleveland area mall that was shut down by security guards and ended with Kelly’s arrest. “We get a lot of negative attention sometimes. But I see the beauty behind the movement. I’m like, ‘Wow, this is amazing,’” Machine Gun Kelly said.
(slight language, but c'mon you have to see this)
