I bought a box of ECW figures and Toybiz WCW Saturn's for like $5.00 each when a K-Mart here closed around 2000 or so. That WCW Saturn is awesome just because he's in the dress/Goth gimmick.

I had the Dudleys and Van Dam. It was right when I hit the age that I stopped playing with figures, but man do I wish those toys had come out two years prior.

One thing I hated about the ECW line, aside from the action features, was that they didn't do realistic looking repaints. They just randomly colored the people's clothing. Raven had bright red/purple, Dreamer looked like a crossing guard in yellow, Taz in a purple leotard, etc. They did a bunch of cool RVDs, though. I have the standard white one, the black/gold one, the red one that came with the ring/a silver Sabu, and probably another one I'm forgetting. Lots of cool versions of him.
My favorite figure was Buh Buh Ray. He was really big, and had impressive looking blue tye dye with tons of detail everywhere. The ECW guys didn't blend well with Jakks' TTL, but they worked pretty good with Jakks' BCA. I believe they came out just as TTL was launching, and just as WCW's awesome new Toybiz line launched. That first set Toybiz did for WCW was freakin' awesome.

WCW's Toy Biz line started improving in terms of head sculpts and articulation by the time the Bruisers line launched, up until the very end with the TNT and Unleashed lines. The first Lex Luger head sculpt from Smash 'N Slam was absolutely horrid, looked like a Planet Of The Apes refugee.

I find it hilarious they'd advertise ECW figures on Nickelodeon. Y'know that struck me as weird too, but I also semi-remember Old San Francisco Toymakers' ads for WCW figures too. But as far as the ECW ones go, not *too* unusual, since ECW was on TNN, a Viacom owned network, and Nickelodeon was also a Viacom owned network. Though it is more surprising that they were giving ECW any sort of acknowledgement at all.

I have NEVER seen that Saturn figure. I knew it was released but never saw it ever. As for as ECW goes. I have Taz (black verison), RVD (White), Lance Storm (Red and White), Tommy Dreamer (Black), New Jack (I think Purple shirt), Steve Corino (Red), Rhino (Black), and Sabu (green. I never saw Mike Awesome. I know my Toys R Us for a while and a lot of Balls and a few Ravens. I think only once did I see Shane Douglas. They weren't great but not bad either. They worked good enough with the Jakks and WCW figures.

It barely looked like him, looked more like Carrot Top, but I marked at the fact that he had his Daredevil Sonar shirt on (a fact that was made possible because Toy Biz also had the Marvel license at the time). As far as the ECW figures, I had a few of the first line, Taz, Dreamer, Sabu, New jack...I always found it funny that one New Jack figure had "No Limit Soldiers" on it.

If it's the right size, you could always trade the head with a different Raven.

Actually customized a WCW Raven by giving him a Sandman shirt, Rick Steiner's jacket, and Konnan's flannel. The head sculpt wasn't that bad, compared to some of the more atrocious ones (Luger, Piper).

Tommy Dreamer(yellow shirt) Rhino Justin Credible(red shirt) Sabu(orange pants) RVD New Jack Balls Mahoney(blue shirt) Chris Candido(yellow tights) Steve Corino
I regret the fact that I never picked up the Nova and Little Guido figures that warmed the toy shelf at Ames.

Got the Dudleys at Big Lots because the WWF hadn't released Dudley figures yet. Those two were really good looking toys with a lot of little details like Bubba's different knee pad/boot things. Still have them.
Never did get any of the other ones. I don't remember why.

I had everything from the first two lines besides RVD and the Dudley Boys. They became harder to find once the lines came out with Raven, Mike Awesome, ect.
