I always wondered after Neidhardt debuted in WCW and Bret came out to help him out, why wasn't there a Hart Foundation reuinion? Another stable other then the NWO (which at that point was getting stale). I believe they still had Davy Boy and could have gotten LAnce Storm now that would have been a great group. Was this another missed opportunity by WCW?

He was also there for a few weeks in mid 1993. He made the cover of a WCW poster book or magazine. He had a tag team match with Junkyard Dog also.

Neidhart was a jobber and I suppose they didn't see any point in involving him with Bret at that stage.

Bret was the hottest thing in wrestling at that point. Putting him with his "Marty" would have been foolish by WCW.

Both where in Bret stable at the end of his WWE run and they are family. For a while they did help Bret. Then they became low card jobbers. Made no sense. They could used Bulldog and Neidhart and guys to back Bret against the NWO. Would be interesting.

That would have been the best way to book Bret to be honest. The promos would have been great, along the lines of "I left the WWF because of the poor values and ethics and what do I find when I get here but more of the same in the nWo." He could have made it his mission to eradicate the nWo. Such a missed opportunity.

Wasn't there some agreement that WCW couldn't use the Hart Foundation as a team or something?
I read that somewhere... trying to remember which book that bit of info was in.

Honestly, when Bret left WWE. A lot of people stopped giving a darn about Bret and his family. Nope. WCW just totally wasted Bret and had no idea how to properly use him. I have always wondered why they didn't try to keep the Hart stable together once Bret, Bulldog, and Neidhart were in WCW.

They certainly couldn't use the name, but Bulldog and Neidhart teamed anyway. Of course, Bret turned heel about 5 billion times in 1998 and never once acknowledged his brothers-in-law once he aligned with Hogan.

I'm surprised they didn't do more with Bulldog/Neidhart as a team. Crazy to think how in 1996 WCW had the best tag team division in the world, but by 1998 you were reduced to Hall & Syxx, Steiner & Kaos and Disorderly Conduct.

What's strange is that they built back up the division in no time at all in 1999, which was one of the few good things WCW did that year. Look for the Triangle Tag Team match at Slamboree that year. It may be one of the most overlooked matches ever.
