Probably a match with the originally injured (but not by Joe) Matt Morgan at No Surrender I'd imagine. After that, back to flip flopping between heel and face with no real purpose until his contract runs out.

{Spoiler}Slight upside: the spoilers for the next two weeks seem to have Joe looking pretty strong. Of course, that guarantees absolutely nothing long term.

My guess is that it is setting up Joe vs. Crimson at BFG.

My guess is that it is setting up Joe vs. Crimson at BFG. That's what I was thinking. Roode takes the BFG Series, setting up he and Angle, and then Crimson gets Joe, who cost him the series. Sounds pretty damn good to me.

Id love it if Joe takes Crimson's streak, it would make it worth him having that stupid streak in the first place, and between this BFG beat downs and that would take Joe out of his jobber status.

Here's the thing, the angle itself is solid as far as his pyschology during the beatdowns he has doled out. The guys he hurts are getting "injured" and removed from the competition. But my only problem with it is the lack of mention it gets. Jim Ross used to be fantastic at selling an entire weeks worth of TV during the main event of RAW. He could recap the whole damn show with high points and never miss a beat on play by play.
Joe has direction in this angle He has heat it fits his personna
but if it dosn't pay off after BFG than it was a place holder. We shall see. My guess for BFG is the last guy he beats down vs Joe(Storm or Gunner ect.)

^^^^ Definitely agreed on that: this angle needs to serve to build Joe back up. It can also serve to make some babyface knocking him off look good, as well, but this angle needs to serve to thoroughly rebuild Joe's image and worth in the booking hierarchy. Obviously, as the heel, I expect Joe to eventually lose to whichever babyface stops him, but that's ok, as long as the road leading up to that has Joe back where he should be.

While TNA finally pulled their heads out of their collective asses concerning Joe, they better hope it's not too little too late. WWE wouldn't hire Joe before, but they originally wouldn't go for Kharma/Kong either. Know what Kong and Joe have in common? A man named Stone Cold Steve Austin who championed them both to WWE brass.

Hell, Joe's also buddies with the top face and arguably second-biggest face in the company.

I get what they are going for with this, and I'm very glad they are doing something with Joe but...
He's one of the few guys the fans are really behind. Why are they having him attack people that don't deserve it to get him over, instead of just having him start winning matches? As it is, half the roster is in, or has recently been in, Immortal. Do they really need Joe to be a heel as well?

he injured Devon, Pope & Crimson and took them out of the BFG series (not sure about Pope yet) what will this lead to?? he's still the last-place jackass Joe felt he was robbed and mistreated during the tournament (which lead to him losing matches and points) so his goal is to sabotage the entire tournament by injuring everyone involved in it. That appears to be the storyline, anyway. Where it leads to, who knows. At some point somebody he "injured" is going to get revenge on him, probably Crimson or {Spoiler}Morgan which will be Joe's comeuppance in the end, but hopefully it lasts a little while so Joe can get some momentum back before losing the feud. Another option is Joe injuring everyone and facing Angle at BFG, but that is highly, highly unlikely.

So we'got Joe and Angle both in "I'm pissed now! I'm gonna beat everyone up!" storylines. I wonder if that will cause them to cross paths again?
