you have to think that they're giving Kevin Steen a serious look. Really? Look I wouldn't be surprised if they give Steen a look, but the dude is not built like a WWE wrestler. Neither was Foley

It's a crime that Generico hasn't been scouted but he will be there soon enough I'm sure. Same goes for the bucks.
From out in Ontario way, Josh Alexander and Mike Rollins are not too far away.

Someone I think could work wonders in WWE that I don't think has been mentioned is RD Evans/Archibald Peck. Dude needs a little more seasoning in the ring, IMO but as a character and on the mic he is already there.

Delirious. Just make him be like Santino. It's perfect.

I used to not be a fan of Kevin Steen at all. I still am not totally on board with him. This being said, I do recognize his talent and charisma.
However, I feel as though the things that bother me are things that could be stumbling blocks for him in WWE:
-His character- His character on the indies as a bully heel and a warts and all babyface respectively work really well there. However, I'd say that is mostly the case because he is larger than his competition. Sure he looks good smashing around Johnny Yuma or Pac, but in WWE, there will be glass ceiling for the gimmick, and who's to say WWE would even let him use the gimmick. If they signed Steen, they likely would not have him brutalizing Bryan or Punk from the get-go, nonetheless someone like Mysterio, and I think Steen's character needs to be pushed hard if it's going to work at all.
His moveset- Through my experience with him at PWG, I would see him dish out Powerbombs, F-5s, Sharpshooters, and Swanton Bombs, in addition of course to his Package Piledriver. Regardless of whether WWE would allow him the Pacakage Piledriver, the rest of his moveset is largely based off of finishers made famous by others. In this regard, unfortunately comes off as CAW-y, since his moveset reminds me of what a fifteen year old would assign his Create-a-Wresetler in SvR. I think that a lot of his aura in the ring comes from his leeway to dispense with all those kinds of moves, and I don't know if he would be able to adapt to the WWE style.
His look- I don't have a huge problem with his look, although I don't think that the Foley comparison fits since though they are similarly overweight compared to other wrestlers, Foley brings much more to the table as a performer than Steen does. Everytime I see Steen now, he's usually wears a shirt over his singlet, so I think he himself realizes he needs to tone up if he's going to hit the WWE ranks.
As far as the original question, I second third, and n-th the notion about Generico. His gimmick has the degree of silliness that would be perfect for WWE, but he also has the ringwork to back it up.

Dude needs a little more seasoning in the ring, IMO but as a character and on the mic he is already there. I'm not sure. I don't think he could do anymore than a comedy heel role. I would say he would make a good manager but I think he is too tall to be a manager. Now Prince Nana on the other hand should immediatley be brought into WWE and do the Embassy thing with Kofi Kingston as a heel and the crown jewel of the stable. They could put Zeke in as his bodyguard and everything.

I don't think Steen or Generico will ever get a serious look by the WWE. Steen is a possibility, but Generico's look just screams indy wrestler. His matches are great, but there are so many other factors to make it in the WWE that I think he is seriously lacking in. It baffles me that people are baffled over him not being signed.
I'd say the All Night Express for sure.

Pac - He's got the look, the accent (they love midcarders with accents) and the moveset. He's everything they want.
Sami - He's Sami Callihan.
And I'm honestly surprised they let TNA sign Tony Nese before they could. He's got the look they like, the moves, and he comes from the NYWC school, who has a solid relationship with WWE.

If PAC gets signed, he'll be told to stay silent. Even some of us in the UK need subtitles when he talks.

I reckon Kevin Steen will be the next guy from the Indies to be big hit in WWE. But I don't think he'll be signed for a little while.
He may not be a typical WWE type guy but he has been clever enough to make that his 'thing'. I reckon if/when he is given a chance he'll be a massive success. He's a great talker, and good enough in the ring even without his 'ridiculousness' to adapt to WWE at some point in the future.

Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett (maybe bringing Maria back with him?) and maybe Madison Eagles or Nicole Matthews.

Won't happen, but I'd love for it to be Delirious. I've always been a mark for crazy guy characters.

I was going to say Alex Shelley, too!
I could see WWE atleast being interested in Kenny King and Johnny Gargano.
