Hello
Im off to town in a moment and have thirty quid to lash on a DVD, and cant decide.
Im thinking either The new Bret Hart DVD set or The Undertaker DVD set.
now as i can't decide im asking you lot your opinions on what i should get, im edging toward the Undertaker set more, but my only worry with that is most of Disc 2 and 3 will have all sorts of Blurs and Audio edits.
so yes - help a brother.

I would go with Bret's as it's awesome, and it's got some great matches.

I'm pretty sure alot will say the Bret DVD just cause he's a better wrestler, but I don't think you can go wrong either way. The Bret DVD has him going through his whole career, along with those great matches, so that's an edge. But you can't gop wrong either way.

Rumor has it (And I can't actually confirm this at the moment so you may want to check it out), the 'Taker DVD is just matches. Very little, if any, additional commentary or interviews.
So of the two, my vote is for the Bret DVD (A friend of mine said he's seen some of it (Mind you he is a HUGE Bret Mark) and said it was really good).
Or you can go out and get the "Ultimate Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" and watch how Vince basically tears down any respect and admiration that people might of still had for that Crazy Jim Hellwig. (I actually found it quite entertaining...particularly the discussion on where 'Parts Unknown' is).

Yeah, the 'Taker DVD is basically matches and highlights from his career. The extras are good.

The Undertaker DVD extras are a load of promo's and comments on the matches, according to the Silver Vision site?
Oh well, thanks for the reccomendations, am a huge Undertaker (pre-2003) fan and a huge Bret Hart fan, so it was getting tough deciding.
EDIT - the matches on the undertaker dvd are the full matches arent they?? not just highlightS?

I was wondering the same thing.....not going to shell out thirty dolllars for it until I find out.

Havent read anything about it being highlights, just says it has a narrator bridging the gaps between matches with clips and stuff?
am worried now!!

YOU'LL have a lot of wrestling to watch with Bret's, and you don't get anything on 'Taker's career as a tag team member of the Skyscrapers which would have made it worth a lot more IMO. Go with Bret it gives you pre-WWF Bret Hart and his Rise up the ranks. Taker's rise was already written.
Not sure on Taker's 21 matches but Bret's are 18 complete matches. And Bret got more respect in terms of packaging. Get Bret's so you can see Mr. Mcmahon basically grovel at Brets feet for agreeing to make this thing happen. THAT alone was worth it.

I dont really like superstar DVDs. If you are a big fan of the guy then its fine but if your not I imagine they could get quite dull.

Id go for the Bret dvd as I enjoy the docs a lot and Takers is just matches.
Something that pissed me off alot about the taker dvd is they place the 3 discs into a single sided case, Its suposed to be a special snap center to hold them 3 but it doesnt work properly, It made a loose sound and motion but i just asumed it had a midle lid so it could store the third disc as ive seen those before but as I opened the thing two of them were just loosened up and badly scratched du that(They still dont skiped so I didnt returned it), I just grabed a cheap double sided case I keep for dvdr and made a new cover for the third disk wich i keept on their crap case but now ill eventually have to mail order a special 3 disc reg size case and spend like 3 dolars in shiping for a 50 cent case because the E were to cheap to pay their dvd makers the extra 25 cents for it.

Which is why I said he got more packaging respect.

yeah the matches on Takers DVD are full matches. What it does is it goes with a match, then after it talks a little of what he did and whats happening from then up through the next match they show.
Both are good, but if i had to pick one, i would go Bret.

Ok, thanks for this, Bret it is!!
Ill get the undertaker one later, i haven't got much pre 97 Undertaker on VHS anymore, bills to be paid so a lot had to be sold sadly, so i was edging toward that for the first disc, but Bret seems like the smart choice.

The blurring? Like of the WWF logo? I wouldn't think it was any worse than any of the other "old school" retro WWE DVD's like Jake Roberts or the Heros of the 80's set.
