i guess when people mean they dont want to move on,they mean they should just stop, because no one care about then anymore. Outside of fading to absurdity, what choice do they have? Should Hogan honestly shave his mustache and become Terry? Should Ric Flair pierce his ear and become a gladiator? V1 was a major change from his extreme character. Also, the tights he wore very briefly is an attire change, at least. Granted, it didn't work because that's what the people want. Jeff Hardy and RVD on the other hand... Or they could just face the fact that they arent drawn anymore, they arent over, people dont want tos ee then, and take a backstage role that pay good as much.

Gotta be X-Pac for me. From the time he started that gimmick until he left, did he change his attire or style at all? Even in X-Factor I recall him still doing crotch chops and stuff.

And while I am sick of Flair and Hogan, I'm not going to speak for everyone, especially since an appearance by either one at an indy show is likely going to boost the gate. Yeah, there time is over...they have no reason to be there...but try telling that to some schmuck fan who is still a mark. I'm just saying.

Hogan and Flair? Are you guys kidding? The guys made millions off that image and given their financial situations, I wouldn't even attempt to change my image. That's like Colonel Sanders dressing up like a chicken because people were tired of the white suit. It's an instantaneous connection you see when you see the red and yellow, it only makes sense to continue to push that. Pretty much this. Say Steve Keirn all you want and my mind draws a blank, say Skinner and theres a connection. Hogan shaved the moustache between his initial WCW run and the start of the nWo, he was "exploring the darkside of Hulkamania", wearing black and white, and cutting some of the dumbest promos ever...but screw that noise we want Real American red & yellow.

Some things you cant change to be fair. Look at HBK even at the end of his career where he was in his late 40's balding and cross eyed yet still you would here Sexy Boy play when he came out simply cause no other tune (dx theme aside) would work.
I remember when Marty made his odd return here or there it looked strange in his old tag team get up from the 80's but then so did Jim Niedhart with his.

Well he did change his attire DESIGN, if that counts for anything. And it wasn't like he was wearing the DX colors anymore.
