The Dark Knight. "Why so serious," was practically meme at one point and really transcended the "geek," culture. No other Batman film has had that impact. The last Batman related media to do that was the 60's show. Batman DOMINATED pop culture in 1989. It was easily on par with The Dark Knight. Yeah, I think Thelma tried to do that "Wait 'til they get a load of me" line on an episode of "Mama's Family" for cryin' out loud.

Off hand the only film where I can't remember a single word uttered is Batman Begins "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me." "Didn't you get the memo?"

Three pages in and no one's posted the real answer?
For shame, people, for shame.
Obviously, the answer is '60s Batman: The Movie.
Because as we all know, some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.

"This town needs an enema" and the rest does not compare with
"Wanna see a magic trick?"
"You..complete me"
"Let's not..BLOW things out of proportion"
"I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you....stranger"
"Rack em up, rack em up"
"All the familiar places"
"So this is what happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object"
"And I thought my jokes were bad. "
"You know, you remind me of my father...I HATED my father"
"Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!"
"If you're good at something, never do it for free. "
"You have nothing, nothing to threaten me with. Nothing to do with all your strength!"
"To them, you're just a freak, like me!"
"See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve!"
"It's not about money... it's about sending a message. Everything burns!"
I may be paraphrasing, but my goodness these quotes hae stayed with me...I liked Nicholson but I find Ledger to be more quotable, even if the dialogue is less "showy"

Batman '89 and Batman Forever for me. Mostly from Nicholson's Joker and Jim Carey's Riddler.

Amazing that nobody has listed the one Batman quote that has been repeated on these forums forever:
"And Where is Batman? He's at home.......WASHING HIS TIGHTS!"

You clearly just have a personal bias in favor of The Dark Knight. Nicholson's Joker had WAY more quotes that would be instantly recognizable to any movie fan. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" in particular was HUGE, and showed up in multiple TV shows and movies after Batman came out. "Why so serious" was just a fad to sell posters and t-shirts to the Hot Topic crowd.

The fact that you couldn't go anywhere without hearing someone quote The Dark Knight in 2008, showed it's impact.
"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Probably my favorite quote from that whole movie, and it's not said by The Joker, but by Harvey Dent. TDK is VERY quotable, with or without The Joker.

"Why so serious" was just a fad to sell posters and t-shirts to the Hot Topic crowd. I am very biased, and a large part of that is I was old enough to live through the 1989 film hype. I was as excited as any lifelong fan to see Nicholson play the Joker, and while he did well, the 1989 film is just so off that I cannot dig it as much. Giving the Joker an origin and showing him pre transformation is always a risky move. And it just wasn't done well. I can't begrudge anyone quoting the film, but I found myself quoting the dialogue for the DK's more realistic portrayal. Sure, it's not as flashy, but it strikes me as more crazy I agree that Hot Topic kidz and the like appropriated all of the hype, but the sheer fact that they did based on some of the aforementioned partial dialogue makes it the more-quoted film.
