I am very surprised so many Florida cities are in the top. For someone who was born and raised in Atlanta, I don't believe there is any way Atlanta is below Orlando.

I'm surprised that San Francisco is that low, given what I've heard - maybe it's all talk? I don't know. I kinda sorta live somewhat near Denver, so that's kinda cool

I'm legitimately surprised Grand Rapids is on that list (less so at Ann Arbor). I knew the place had gotten a lot gay-friendlier and that apparently Diversions is the place to be, but man, that's a helluva long way since the 80's when one of my professors was beaten half to death for walking out of a gay bar.
Good. I like the GR area and have it at the top of my list of places to settle down in.
Edit: And the thing about San Francisco and New York City is that yeah, they've got a huge gay population but the huge rest of their population sort of balances things out.

Keep in mind, part of the criteria includes "a city's number of teams entered in the Gay Softball World Series, gay bookstores, openly gay elected officials and semifinalists in the International Mr. Leather Contest, which is held every year in Chicago."

Cambridge being so high on the list does not surprise me in the least.

That is one of the least scientific crietrias out there.

I would have throught St. Louis would have made this list. From my experience, it's gayer than KC by quite a bit.

For what it's worth, I totally saw Wichita, KS walking out of a gay bar this one time.

Los Angeles isn't on there at all??? I'd figure that'd be number 1.

Los Angeles isn't on there at all??? I'd figure that'd be number 1. LA has a huge gay population. But there are 10+ million people living is LA/Orange counties so they get diluted amongst the larger straight population.
