Never has a game angered me or felt so damn satisfying! I actually beat it after today after nearly one month of focused play. If it was not for the Demon Souls wiki page i probably would have jumped off a building out of frustration! I hope Dark Souls is a worthy successor!

I can't imagine what it must be like to play this game for someone with a temper problem. I have the patience of a saint and this game got me riled up at least once or twice. Of course the reason I never got mad is because it's fair. The game doesn't kill me unless I mess up. I play it all the damn time even till this day.
Also I just happened to open my copy of Dark Souls today. I've owned it for 2 months but I got back on Demon Souls the day before I bought it and decided to hold off. That's how addicting the first one is.
I'll tell you this. After feeling like a god playing Demons Souls, since I'm so practiced at it now, I figured I'd do very well with Dark Souls out the gate. Boy was I wrong, it kicked my ass so bad. I was a little stunned, I really didn't think I'd do so poorly. Anyway I found an easier area to practice in and I'm slowly building up my skills against these new enemies.
One thing you should know is that there A LOT of differences that seemed minor on the surface. But they really make the game feel different. I understand why they didn't call it a sequel now. It will be weird to get used to the new elements, almost everything from the original has been altered in some way. I'm only a few hours in, but I'm loving it so far. I really like the new way it has been made, but I want something down the line that feels like a Demons Souls sequel. The new system is better in some ways but all the same unfamiliar. It's just odd for me this early in. It feels like a reimagining of the original's spirit as opposed to a refined sequel. Which again it's not, so...
If you have the PS3 version of Dark Souls feel free to add me.

Trust me, im a pretty mellow guy but that damn game had me yelling and cursing like the Dad from Christmas Story on a daily basis! Stupid red eye knights and that damn Valley of Defilement nearly put me in a mental institution! I got Dark Souls for christmas along with quite a few other games but ive only played Dungeon Siege III and spanked through it in two days. But is it odd for me to want to play Demons Souls one more time before playing Dark Souls? Its almost like this game has shown me that im secretly a masochist or something! I will add you sometime, but for the moment im on a satellite internet connection... which is fine for surfing the net but horrible for gaming!

I couldn't really get into Dark Souls for some reason. I think it's probably because of the lack of a central hub like Demon's Souls...but then again, I've only been playing for about 10 hours or so.
Also, the guide that came with the limited edition of the game, is DIGITAL ONLY, and therefore, I refuse to use it (why bother using it when you have a dedicated wiki on the game.

I love Dark Souls. It's difficult, but not cheaply so. If you fight strategically, you can get through it. Helps to get the Drake Sword at the start!

But is it odd for me to want to play Demons Souls one more time before playing Dark Souls? Not at all. It's one of those games that you can see a noticeable improvement in your skills. It's one of the few games that I've beaten more than once. I feel like I can always get a little bit better. And the way it's designed makes it easy to pick up and play. As opposed to some games where you have to grind for hours just to get decent enough gear to compete. Skill+non cheap enemies means that you can even beat bosses with basic gear if you have the skill. Yeah that was really disorienting for me in the beginning. Stick with it man. You'll get the hang of it.

Only thing that really struck me as retarded in Dark Souls was the Capra Demon, sometimes no matter what you do you're just screwed.
