Going to go ahead and make my picks for tomorrow. Three of these I feel 100% on, and of course the one my heart is in is confusing me badly. Lions @ SaintsLions are good, Saints are just better. Stafford just threw for 500 yards and LOST. That defense will get no more lucky against Drew Brees. Final : Lions 21 - Saints 35Falcons @ GiantsWouldn't be surprised if New York laid an egg and blew it, but I don't think so. They're playing pretty well right now and I think Matt Ryan is going to feel the pressure from that pass rush. Plus Eli is playing at an elite level. Final: Falcons 17 - Giants 27Steelers @ BroncosI'd feel better about this if the Steelers stopped dropping like flies. I still think half of that Steeler defense is enough to make Tebow look horrible. Stop the run, force him to throw, win comfortably. Final: Steelers 24 - Broncos 10 Bengals @ TexansI really want this win . I think even with TJ Yates that the Texans are the better overall team, but that doesn't mean they're playing better. They're heading in on a skid, and while they lost to Baltimore the Bengals are playing better lately. If Cincy can at least slow down Foster and Tate, I'll take a battle between Yates and Dalton. If they were playing anyone else I'd say the Bengals lose by at least 10. They got the perfect match up, another rookie QB, and a team with no momentum. I'll take it. Final: Bengals 17 - Texans 14 *fingers crossed*

NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports that Broncos SS Brian Dawkins' neck injury is "career threatening."
ESPN's Ed Werder reports Brady Quinn took eight first-team reps in Broncos practice this week, and that it was more than usual.
Free agent LaDanian Tomlinson acknowledged Friday that he is considering retiring this offseason.

Quick prediction: I have the Steelers and Falcons playing road warriors (no offense Giants fans, but this was too close to call), with the Texans and Saints defending their home turf.
That'll set up Steelers-Patriots, Texans-Ravens, 49ers-Saints, and Falcons-Packers.

The Falcons and Giants are very similar teams so I expect a close game. Besides fan bias, I pick the Giants because they're getting hot at the right time and Atlanta isn't very good on the road this year. Matty Ice has also melted in the playoffs the last two times he was there. If the Giants can stop the Falcons' running game, it's over.
If they were playing in Atlanta, I think the Falcons would win.

That'll set up Steelers-Patriots, Texans-Ravens, 49ers-Saints, and Falcons-Packers. Strangely enough, the road team between the Falcons & N.Y. Giants has won the last six or seven games, with the exception of the Giants winning a game in '09 at the Meadowlands. As for picks: Steelers should smash on the Broncos, Texans over Bengals Giants in a close one over the Falcons. Maybe more of a difference if Turner/Snelling/Rodgers get shut down. Saints over the Lions by 13-27.

My picks.
Bungles become Bengals to win a two score game over the Texans.
Squeelers (sorry fans but I find that nick name funny) lose a stupid, injury filled game against the most loved/hated team in pro football. Denver wins.
Falcons will become what they always have been, an average team with a good home record. Giants win and move on to Lambeau...
Lions at the Saints is basically a question of whether or not the Lions can turn up, on the road, in the biggest game in years for them. It's too much in one year, Saints by two scores.

My predictions: Bengals, Saints, Giants, Steelers win. Who'll I'll be rooting for in each game: Texans, Saints, Giants, Broncos. Cool idea. I want the Bengals, Broncos, Lions and Falcons to win. Bengals because they're people on this board who are big Bengal fans. The lions because heck, the Packers have already beat them twice so...and the Falcons because then Eli might not be as elite as he thinks he is. *edit* I want the Broncos to win because then the internet/media/radio/television would explode.

I'm rooting for Giants (obviously), Steelers, Saints, and Bengals. If the Lions didn't act like a bunch of thugs, I'd probably root for them over Nawlins since I like Stafford. But ugh.

I'm rooting for the Bengals obviously because they're my team. Rooting for the Saints because as of right now they're my pick to win the whole thing, just like they were in the pre-season, and I'd like to get one of these right some day. Steelers because as much as I detest that team, I'm sick of the excessive Tebow = Jesus crap and if they beat Pitt I might have to avoid every single media and fan outlet for a month. Finally, Giants because I think they'll give whoever they play in Round 2 a better game, and I want SALSA TIME.

And to add I want all the teams I've chosen as who I think will win, to actually win: Falcons, Saints, Steelers (even though I can't stand them - they're the lesser of two evils) and Texans

That's also how I feel. Though I just like watching the Steelers play. Even if the Tebow fellatio didn't make me retch, I'd root for them over the Broncos.

Y'know, it makes me sick to my stomach, the Timmy Tebow worship, but it's like that Simpson joke...If people stop caring, they will just go away. I'm pretty sure the Squeelers will win and all will be well in the world. It's just that so many people (including me) just want one player to do horribly, that people ignore 52+ other players.
