The GBA came out the same year as the GameCube.

Although, someone remind me if this came out during the N64 or Gamecube era. If it's the latter, everything would make more sense. Funny, since the Gamecube also gets the least attention and praise among the home consoles. Of course, that's if we're not including Virtual Boy ..... Probably because Nintendo re-released it with a waggle stick and wifi.

Good idea, bad timing. The DS was only out for 4 months but by that time, everyone moved on to the DS. Plus the DS could play GBA games so why get a smaller version of an old system when you can get the next big thing that can play the same games PLUS the hottest new ones?

I'm probably in the minority in this thought, but I honestly think Nintendo should've released the Micro instead of the SP.
And that's because I f***ing hate the SP. The form factor is rubbish to me, and with how the buttons are positioned on the thing I have to make a weird claw shape with my hands to play the bloody thing, and on top of that, I don't like how the buttons feel. So...yeah, I hate the GBA SP.....
