For anyone who saw tonight's episode, did anyone catch the small cameo? This thread could be used to discuss the episode as well, as quite a lot went down.

Conan O'Brian?
Episode was great IMO, I'm so glad we're going places with Ted's character now. The ending was somewhat epic too, with the look on Marshall's face.

Yup! I remembered he mentioned he "won" a chance to appear on the show the last time he interviewed NPH, but I completely forgot it by that time. Then I spot the tall guy with red hair in the background and I marked.

This is the episode we all needed. It's also the one we all expected after the Victoria episode. The only downside was we had no follow up to Barney's stripper girl. But I'm glad they referenced the drunk train. And btw, I did not see Conan. Where was he?

Ah, not The Wedding Bride III or the Blue Trombone.
Also, what the f*** Lily, she was utterly deplorable tonight. Marshall too to a lesser extent.
And why the f*** would you bring up a sex tape if you aren't going to use it? Story 101 you damn writers!

hell I watched the episode and I missed it.
I did think it was cool that they kinda went a different direction with Ted/Robin and last week's ending became a bit of a fake out.
And hey, Lily sans shirt , ain't nothing wrong with that.

I think that episode was really good for Ted's character. It finally gave him the closure with Robin he really needed, with him calling off the "We get married at 40" thing and Robin moving out.
It was a bittersweet episode since you get the feeling that Ted and Robin aren't going to be as close friends for at least a short bit. But their relationship was pretty unhealthy for each other and they really needed it. Plus the umbrella scene at the end at least helped things end on a positive.

And btw, I did not see Conan. Where was he? I'm not even sure if he appeared more than once, as I wasn't looking for him, but it's the scene where Ted, Barney, Marshall and Lily are at the bar, and Barney urgently rushes out the bar in search of Marshall and Lily's sex tape (again). When Barney hops over the table, he runs by Conan who is standing wearing a black leather jacket, and when Barney is out the door, Conan looks around in confusion. They don't even make it obvious it's him by focusing in on him, it's like they treat him as an ordinary extra on set.

This episode was AMAZING. I laughed all the way through and the ending was really sweet and ACTUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FTW!
The ending scene with the multitude of yellow umbrellas was perfect.

Totally forgot about Conan's cameo, and it was a GREAT episode from start to finish.
