I'd echo Seinfeld.
According to Jim never jumped the shark because it was so bloody awful to begin with.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been going strong for 7 seasons without much of a decline.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been going strong for 7 seasons without much of a decline. These past two seasons have had a few stinkers, but it's still a lot better than 95% of things on tv and when they get it right, they get it absolutely right.

boy meets world and wonder years were consistantlly good throughout their runs even if the former had terrible continuity issues

Doctor Who. Although there are seasons that aren't quite as good, it can always bounce back easily.

I was gonna say being human (the UK version) but... {Spoiler}They just killed off three out of four of the main cast and the one that's left is the most annoying one. So we shall see.

Buffy, but I'm a pretty biased fanboy admitedly. With that said though, even though the last season was pretty lackluster, I can't think of a Jump the Shark moment. Maybe the Buffy/Spike relationship? Have to disagree on Buffy. The insane asylum episode annoys me to this day. I was good with the Spike relationship. I love Spike, Whedon loves relationships that end badly, and it was part of Spike's redemption arc. I don't think Angel ever jumped the shark. Conner came damn close

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been going strong for 7 seasons without much of a decline. I thought Season 6 was BAD when I saw it in its first run, and I almost lost hope for the show. However, after watching the episodes again, I came to the conclusion that only a few of the episodes were bad ('Mac and Charlie: White Trash', 'Charlie Kelly: King of the Rats', and 'Mac's Big Break' weren't very good at all) and that the rest of the season wasn't bad. Season 7 had the series' 2 worst episodes ever ('Frank's Brother' and 'The Gang Gets Trapped'), but overall it was a great season.

I loved just about everything in Season 6, though. Especially King of the Rats ("Are you trying to say 'spaghetti'? Are you taking me for a spaghetti day?"). There have been some duds these last couple years, but fortunately nothing terrible enough for the show to have jumped the shark.

It's had some real clunker episodes and it's not as good as it was during its peak earlier seasons but it's still a long, long way from being unwatchable.

Conner came damn close Conner, yes, but all things considered each season of Angel was progressively better than the last one. By the time Connor was at his most insufferable you had Alexis Denisov and David Boreanaz putting in some of the best performances of their careers.

Did Charlie have a dream about a chicken wearing jeans, or a chicken made of denim? I never understood that. And he was sure quick to recognize denim chicken when the gang re-created it.

I will echo South Park and Seinfeld and will add Daria. Even though many people hate Tom as Daria's Boyfriend, I felt he gave her and Jane more depth.

So far, I have to say Psych. The show continues to be funny, and they've kept it fresh without making any changes to the basic formula. No episode has ever felt like they've gone too far away from what makes the show work in the first place.

Maybe the Buffy/Spike relationship? Buffy and Spike have sex that destroys a house. And that's not even mentioning Spike in "Seeing Red", and how his actions were no problem.

I have only seen the first 2 series of Breaking Bad and I watched them over a 3 day period, absolutely phenomenal.
Unfortunately some TV execs over here have their heads planted firmly up their bums so we have yet to see series 3 and 4. I know I could get them through illegal means but I much prefer the real thing.

Fawlty Towers. They only made 12 episodes because they didn't want it to outlive its welcome, and both series are fantastic.

Dexter is still pretty solid to me Nah, "Dexter" fell off when it became a show about maintaining the status-quo as opposed to character actually growing and changing. The "shark jump" moment for me was in Season 4 when Dexter accidentally killed an innocent for the first time (the photographer). It was a moment the entire series has been building up to which should have thrown his entire life into disarray, and instead it's forgotten within two episodes. The brushing-off of that crucial moment set the tone for "Dexter" being a show of whatever is most convenient for the writers to protect the network's franchise and hit the reset button whenever possible.
