This can mean in anything/anyone really who you feel is underrated but a few examples below for specifics. Which casting decisions do you think were massivly overlooked and could/did make the film or programme? Who didn't you expect to be that good but ended up being great? Due to expectations of the actor doing comedy before drama, drama before comedy etc. Or even which characters look/act like eachother in a family even though they are not related? And so on. For me the casting of Adam Brody as Seth Cohen and Peter Gallagher as Sandy Cohen on The OC blew my mind, as they legit looked like father and son plus they had great chemistry together. It maybe because im an OC mark but it never seems to get the props it deserves for casting (except Mischa Barton) Also only knowing Bryan Cranston from Malcolm in the Middle before Breaking Bad I could not believe how incredibly talented he also was at drama, after doing comedy.

Patrick Stewart as Jean Luc Picard.
For Star Trek to go from James Kirk to an anal-retentive, child hating, academic, bald guy from France with an English accent was a masterstroke ultimately.

Scott Adkins as Yuri Boyka from Undisputed 2 and 3 -- for anyone that enjoys fight flicks or just action in general he plays a freaking beast like no one recently it aint some shmuck thats "acting" badass dude is a legit monster thats only topped by Michael Jai White...and speaking of.
Michael Jai White in Black Dynamite -- It is insanely dissapointing that for what IMO is the best comedy of 2009 that is has not lead to a legit big time starring role idk maybe people still have painful memories of spawn idk I thought he was great as spawn , but the man is a legit badass , black dynamite proved he is freaking hilarious with the right script , and blood and bone showed he can do dramatic as well.
Micahel Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor -- of all the ones that shock me the most THIS is the one , enough cannot be said for how underrated the rest of the cast was or quite frankly the majority casting on smallville but simply put Rosenbaum as lex was brilliant.

Jason Seudekis on SNL. In fact most of the castmembers of SNL since Ferrell left. I love that show. never stopped and not once has the notion "t's not funny anymore" made any sense to me. I also believe Chevy, Murray, Belushi etc are all OVERrated.

Sadly, not a lot of people have seen the sheer awesome majesty that is Black Dynamite and even fewer "get" it. But he was all types of insane greatness in that movie.

Black Dynamite was my favorite comedy of 2009. How that guy isn't an A-lister yet is beyond me. Talk about total package.
Also Dena Winters and Timothy Olyphant in anything.

From a 'This character would not have been the same without them' department- Nikki Cox on Unhappily Ever After.
I don't know if anyone else could have pulled off Tiffany as well as she did.
