I'm an unashamed Limp Bizkit fan, now I have to go listen to Significant Other in it's entirety.
I don't give a damn what anyone says, that album is gold form beginning to end. :-P

I didn't get it then, still don't get it now. Why did people like them? Because to younger people who knew nothing about heavy metal they were the heaviest thing that they had head. Since those same people also liked rap they probably thought it was the best thing ever that those 2 things (rap and metal) were combined. Limp Bizkit fans were not kids who suddenyly stopped listnening to "real metal" they were kids who were just starting to get into heavier music.

/\ pretty much that. I'm a major metalhead now, but when I was 14, before I found better music I thought that Limp Bizkit and Korn were the bees knees.

Ditto. 14, and impressionable, I loved Limp Bizkit, Korn, Kid Rock, et al. They introduced me to metal, and expanded my horizons, so I'll forever have a place in my heart for them.

i'm with these last three posts. my older brother was just discovering "real" metal at the time (slayer, iron maiden, machine head), but he started with limp bizkit and korn.
and, i also listened to significant other yesterday while playing mario party, and you know what? its still an awesome cd.

So, nobody moved on from Korn to Orgy and ended up in the electrorock camp instead? Sad story.
