Watching RAW this week I was wondering if the point they were trying to make was that things were worse with Johnny Ace in charge. I mean there was a post match beat down in basically every match and Evan Borne got hurt it seemed like it was definitely "crazier". Was this supposed to be the kayfabe point or not?

That's an interesting point. I didn't really think about it until you posted this, but I think it could be.
Maybe we'll see even more chaos until it's revealed that Laurinitis is behind the attacks, The Union (was Team Lawsuit), Awesome Truth, the walkout, and having HHH removed on Raw, in attempt to take over and get more power in the WWE. Once he's revealed to be behind it all, he'll be "fired" and the new GM will take over, restoring order.
