Look, I know they need to build up Mark Henry vs Big Show.. but why build him up for months as an unstoppable bad ass until he finally wins the title... then have Big Show beat the piss out of him? Kinda kills his momentum as champ if you ask me.

Wasn't Show beating the piss out of him what started his run in the first place?
If anything it's only going to motivate Henry even more and make him more vicious.

A 7 foot tall, over 400 lb giant attacked Henry from behind, and Henry still managed to put up a bit of a fight before getting sent through the table. So no I don't think it killed his momentum.

If it was Orton that stopped his momentum, yeah it probably would've killed his aura. But since it was Big Show who is not only bigger than him but also ****ed off at him for nearly ending his career, I don't have a problem with it. Besides, Henry can squash Zack Ryder next week to gain back any lost heat

Kinda kills his momentum as champ if you ask me. It's not like he won the title the week prior. He'd already had his rematch with Orton, beaten Christian, Morrison and Khali. Plus he destroyed SHow the last time they faced. A champion who's momentum can be ruined so easily had no momentum.

Yeah, I think Big Show laying him out the one time is fine. Particularly since he was gong to need to get revenge but obviously isn't winning the title, so they had to have him look strong over Henry right out of the gate somehow or other.

Big Show's chances of winning the title at Vengeance are pretty much nil. Might as well let him look strong in the buildup, particularly since he just came back from injury.

Mark Henry never had an aura anyway imo, he's been a major league scrub for the past 15 years and now suddenly we're supposed to take him seriously?
On the other hand, Show has about as much chance of winning the World Championship at Vengeance as Yoshi Tatsu does of getting off NXT.

Finally, another soul who feels my pain.

To recover his heat Mark Henry will beat Daniel Bryan in a squash match.

It was a big return for the Big Show (no pun), so no shock that he got over. Also with the Randy feud seemly being over, who else is going to stop Mark Henry?

And between the Elimination Chamber, the usual filler Rumble match, Big Show, Kane, and Sheamus, they could easily have Henry hold the title until Mania if so desired. Hoping he does - Bryan beating him there would be a great moment, and I'm not sold on the Daniel Bryan: World Champion thing anyway.

Show won't be the winner of this feud, and if anything, it'll only anger Henry even further, making him more of a monster. Show needed momentum going back into his feud with Henry, especially after being taken out of action thanks to him. And now there's more of an incentive in Henry to put him out for good.

Well Henry asked the question, what did Big Show do to deserve a title shot. That was the answer.

Doesn't bother me, if anything it'll be more motivation for Mark to re-destroy Big Show.

Hoping he does - Bryan beating him there would be a great moment, and I'm not sold on the Daniel Bryan: World Champion thing anyway. You know, you make a great point there. This being the WWE, they'll never do it, but they COULD have a compelling storyline with the "unstoppable" Mark Henry (who DID show a bit of a new egotistical streak last night) roaring past these other challengers and beating the likes of Show, Kane, Sheamus, and even Orton a third time....and being faced with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. Classic "David vs. Goliath" story there, plus if you have Henry just TOTALLY blown up on ego by then and dismissing Bryan as not even worth training for, not even worth preparing for....you could set Bryan up to pull off a very emotional, very impactful upset over "The World's Strongest Champion". Talk about a "WrestleMania" moment. ;D
