Yeah, the promo ended in such genuine fashion it was unreal. And when he hit HHH with the mic, that was HUUUUUUUUGE.

I really enjoyed the segment myself. Even though I clearly heard Punk drop their real names, I had to rewind it twice out of utter shock. I actually liked him doing that as it played up to the "it's personal now, not business" angle they've been running with. Especially since Punk doesn't like to be called Phil & it even go's back to Vince using it during their contract negotiations before MitB. Even the youngest kids know that CM Punk isn't actually his real name, so the argument of suspending disbelief is out the window too. I watched the East Coast USA feed and the F-bomb was muted. Some of you seem to have heard it uncensored. Did it go un-muted in other countries? Honestly, this was one of my least favorite segments between HHH and Punk. I thought it was a little too "inside" (likely going over most WWE fans' heads), and Punk almost came off as a cowardly heel by taking a cheapshot with the mic on Trips. I didn't have a problem with the "cheap shot" either. After his mics kept cutting out, and HHH got in his face, I kept screaming at the TV, "Kick him in the f***ing head". The mic shot was good enough I guess, and still got the job done IMO. Since last Monday's Raw I have been convinced that HHH is going to beat Punk at NoC, and last night confirmed my suspicions. It's not just going to be a case of HHH burying Punk. In fact, I think it's going to advance the story, answer some questions while raising even more, and elevate Punk even further than he already is. I'm 100% certain Punk is going to get "screwed" somehow & there will be others involved in the match in some form. Hell, there may even be outside involvement for both HHH & Punk. I'm really looking forward to seeing the match, and seeing just how things are going to play out. There isn't as much intrigue as Money in the Bank, but there's nothing that can top that build/match/fallout. I'll sit back, relax and (hopefully) enjoy the show. The only thing that could possibly ruin this for me would be Punk getting squashed, or it being revealed that Punk has been in cahoots with HHH/Nash all along. No, I won't stop watching WWE, nor will I claim too, but I'll be awfully pissed. Oh, and yes, I did hear Punk say f***, but it felt real as if it was in the heat of the moment, and he was legit pissed off. Punk talked about this being called the Reality Era in an interview, and that went right along with it. Also, someone says f*** at least once every Raw, but it's just not as audible, or meaningful.

The best part about the promo was that I finally now know how to pronounce Triple H's last name

On the topic of that promo, what did Punk's "no back pockets" joke mean? I figured it was some kind of steroid joke.

Hence why I said in this case, it's "everyone". This angle has been framed as everyone else in the entire company is just playing a character (except Stephanie Levesque) or having given up their "real" self to sell their soul to The McMahons, and he's the only "real person". Which is interesting, because even that is still kayfabe. It's about the thinnest line you can possibly walk, but by golly, they're pulling it off. Maybe. We'll see how guys like Miz, Truth, Swagger, Ziggler, and even Del Rio come out the other end (maybe after the HHH match, we'll see other people inserted back into the storyline). Maybe I'm just looking too far into what I think the story should be, if Punk's trying to play the Revolutionary. A revolution is a company-wide thing, and everyone else (except Miz and Truth, sort of.) is acting completely unaffected.

I'm still trying to figure out if the mics not working was part of the show, or a technical issue. If it was a work, it was a weird way to do it.

The fact that you asked that pretty much indicates that youve been worked. I was the same. Its clear that a WWE higher-up in kayfabe wants to censor Punk.

I've watched this 3 times now and still haven't heard the f-bomb. Did Sky Sports just manage to mute it?

On the topic of that promo, what did Punk's "no back pockets" joke mean? I figured it was some kind of steroid joke. Really expensive suits have fake back pockets that aren't actually pockets. He was just taking a rich guy jab.

Oh, right, I thought it was said on mic given how shocked some people acted on here. *shrug* That's not as impressive.

He might've been calling for another Paul on the production crew. Or Paul London. "WHERE ARE YOU PAUL? I NEED YOUR GOOFY GRIN NOW MORE THAN EVER!" HA! Legit loud laugh!
