I still think Winter Soldier edges it out by a slight margin, but they're both damned good

Rob Walker gives his thoughts Actually find myself agreeing with him. I always thought X-Men 1 and 2 were ok, but the movies missed the boat with actually fleshing out the actual team. First Class did it best, and Days of Future Past did an excellent job of resetting the status quo.

Simon Kinberg said there was probably about 20-25 minutes of finished footage deleted from the final film during editing. The Rogue segment is supposedly about 10 minutes long and is the longest complete sequence which was cut. It's a side mission where Xavier and Magneto break Rogue out of a facility so she can use her powers on Kitty and then on Logan to stabilize the link.

I would be totally up for Lord of the Rings-style extended edition BluRay release.

It's funny at the start of this thread everyone thought the movie was going to fail. That Singer was a mistake to bring back
And a lot of people didn't think Quicksilver would turn out as good as he did

Yeah I've been optimistic about this movie since it was announced. Some people were shitting on it from the beginning. Anyway can we talk about mow much MaCavoy just killed it as Xavier? He was good in first class but even better in this. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The peep talk between young Xavier and old Xavier. Great acting from both MaCavoy and Stewart.

Always thought it was funny people were trying to say the first two movies were bad ones
It's the same with the First two Spider-Man movies People now act like they are bad movies

A lot of people say this a sendoff for the OT Cast. What say u? I hope not. I think they have one movie left in them. At the very least as a way to finally utilise Cyclops and the other neglected characters properly.

It's funny at the start of this thread everyone thought the movie was going to fail. That Singer was a mistake to bring back And a lot of people didn't think Quicksilver would turn out as good as he did Everyone? Not seeing it that way. I remember starting a thread about First Class before it was released and a lot of people were negative about it, then again before First Class the previous two XMen films that were made were a big factor in that. But not so much Days of Future Past . A lot of that is to do with the two X Men films that were made before this one were both good (and in the case of First Class, was very good). My only worry about this film was they would overshadow McAvoy and Fassbender with Jackman, Stewart and McKellen. Now I've seen it and saw that the main story involves the younger Xavier, Magneto, Mystique and Beast (and Wolverine) I was very happy. Maybe they could have given Ian McKellen a bit more screen time (because he's Ian f***ing McKellen!) but that's not really a gripe.

"That was my favorite scene in the film. I loved the introduction of that character and Evan is wonderful as Quicksilver. It’s my boy, it’s my son. Look at him go." -Michael Fassbender
