I think it could if they played their cards right. Orton's always been one of my favorites, I'd love to see him in TNA, I don't think it's super likely, but I'd love it.

It might jump up for a few weeks but within 2 months, it'd be back to normal.

Doubtful. Orton would be a big boost to TNA since he is one of the WWE's top stars, but Jeff Hardy didn't make a difference for TNA and he was arguably the WWE's most popular face in 2009. I don't think anyone outside of maybe The Rock can help TNA's ratings at this point, and even that would be a temporary gain much like Hogan was. Orton will help the roster and name recognition a bit, but he is not going to bring over new viewers.

Nothing else has moved the ratings needle, but you never know.....

No, because it won't matter if you have Orton if you don't properly PROMOTE that you have Orton, and TNA has never managed to do that right.

Hardy came back as a surprise on their live January show, right?
If that was the case, which i believe it was, I think Hardy could've given them a better ratings boost had they built him up rather than do the surprise thing.

he might pop the ratings for a couple weeks at best, but TNA is so bad at promoting its product that it'd be a modest pop (if they don't try to swerve/surprise everyone) and before long he'd be just another guy in TNA, just like Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Sting and everyone else who failed to push them past their glass ceiling.

For as much as I love him, he doesn't make the ratings move in WWE so there is no chance it happens in TNA.

Oh, Dixie would promote the heck out of Orton. She'd have ten whole billboards all across Stamford, CT.

They passed the point of needed name brand wrestlers from WWE a while ago. That said it never hurts to add somebody seasoned on tv and ppv, but this one is all wrong. Sends a bad message and I honestly don't see the output being worth the cost. No it would not help

/\ can't be any worse a message than bringing back and continuing to push Jeff Hardy, the man who singlehandledly ruined a PPV.

Ratings have actually been shown to decrease whenever Orton is champ or prominent on TV, so with that I say

Nope. Although with Orton in TNA I'd like to see the backstage interaction between Ken Anderson and Randy Orton.

It might jump up for a few weeks but within 2 months, it'd be back to normal. Thank you. McOrwell has a hard hold on the masses. Let's not kid ourselves. Orton would do nothing. Not even Cena could do anything at this point. No. Not even Cena. No. No! Don't say it.

Now that I'm really thinking about it, I don't want Orton to go to TNA. Just because you just KNOW the first thing they are going do is put him in a worked-shoot feud with Mr. Anderson.

orton is pretty much considered wwe ratings poison so I would guess no.

TNA is run by Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan. Does anyone seriously think they can create a decent angle for Orton? I dont.
Plus, I would love to be a fly on the wall when/if Orton and Ken Anderson meet in a TNA locker room.
