With the last episodes now in the can. Lets have a look back at the good, the bad and the ugly. Standout moments for me would be: Tyson Kidd v Kaval The Rollins/Ambrose trilogy Regal v Ambrose Naomi v Serena main eventing And of course, for a while there we had a fresh weekly helping of On another note. It's weird to look back at how some of the people on the main roster bear no resemblance to what they were in developmental. I remember when Maxine was randomly announced as the new GM when she had mostly just been a valet up till that point. Someone must have seen something in her back then.

Last episode? Since when? They taped the last episodes last Thursday. They air later this month and 1st week of July. I remember Daniel Bryan's 1 and only FCW match vs Low Ki. And The Hart Foundations short run.

Can't forget the 87 times a commentator left the announce desk to turn heel or start wrestling again.
EX: Wade Barrett, Abraham Washington, Bret Dibiase, Byron Saxton like 3 times

There was a point last year when I enjoyed FCW more than any WWE show.
Naomi/Serena is one of my favourite womens wrestling matches probably of all time, and there was a great match practically every week (often featuring Justin Gabriel, Kaval, Seth Rollins or more recently Kassius Ohno and Dean Ambrose). The Ambrose/Regal storyline has been one of the most interesting storylines of the past year, and I hope they strike it back up on the main roster at some point.
I look forward to the new FCW/NXT hybrid, but I hope it's treated as a proper brand with storylines and angles and backstage segments etc. FCW was often a bit iffy with telling stories, but there were some gems too.

Add another one to the bizarre pile: Rosa Mendes winning the by-then meaningless Oueen of FCW title after two years and doing the whole "girlhood dream" moment

Gabriel's run in FCW was nothing short of insane in terms of match quality. The guy just brought out the best in everyone he faced from Sheamus to Logan. Astonishing run really, hell he got over without saying a word because of his in ring abilities (I'd argue that the moment he "got over" was in his third televised match, vs Jon Cutler). Particular highlights are vs Slater (1/2 hour, 2/3 falls), vs Kaval (imo the best FCW match ever), vs Barrett (not a great match, but the way the match begins is great), vs Riley (which featured the only time anyone in FCW ever kicked out of the 450 splash) and both matches vs Kruger (the first especially had Gabriel pulling some s*** out he hadn't done since leaving Africa).
Mia Mancini/Serena was just incredible, and Barrett on commentary really enhanced that (because he was afraid of her). She worked especially well with AJ Lee and Naomi Knight (I'll never understand why they thought calling a black woman Knight was a good idea) but nothing was outright terrible. She'd just bully her opponent through the match regardless. The AJ vs Serena vs Naomi was probably the best match between the three, if for no other reason than the finish, which was pretty damn creative. Oh, and Barrett's commentary for April (AJ) Lee vs Serena was fantastic. He was making the "she looks like a child" jokes right from the get go and most of the time was funnier than anyone who's been making them since.
Kruger's also had some gems without Gabriel, notably with Bo. Their match in 2010 was very good, considering the time it was given though with hindsight the finish is actually scary (Kruger took what's essentially a pedigree with an undiagnosed broken neck. Yeah, that happened.) But then, most of his pre title matches were good, and he did his best with the guys he was given during his title run. Vs Leakee was good, vs Sandow was good and his four matches with Dalton are pretty much the only reason people look twise at him as far as I'm concerned.
Sandow was also darn good once he went solo (or at least broke it off with Titus), if nothing else his match with Bo for the title is well worth a watch.
The Ambrose/Rollins trilogy was s***, as was Ohno vs Rollins. Rollins is absolutely worthless unless someone's got him by the nose to prevent him from exposing his stupidity as a worker. Sandow, Victor and Kruger (though I've not seen their most recent matches) were able to do that, with Richie's inherent ability to slow a match down and work the arm keeping him in line until the finish. How anyone thinks he's anything more than a turd amazes me.
DH Smith and Tyson Kidd/TJ Wilson were damn good too. They had a great match against one another, a solid tag run from what I've seen and Smith had a darn good match with McIntyre and a hilarious one vs Escobar where the comedy comes from EE getting his knee demolished in so many ways without being able to do a damn thing about it. Also his corny selling. Not surprised the fecker flopped on the big stage.

Yeah, could someone clear up the NXT/FCW thing for me?
Is there going to still be the regular NXT on WWE.com? Is there going to be two versions of NXT?

We have no damn clue what's happening with NXT domestically. I can only assume that they're doing the tapings FCW style, running a batch behind the most recent tapings
