You know what I'd love to see? A double pin scenario in Aries/Roode, leading to Hogan announcing on Impact that the title is being 'held up' for the time being until the Aries/Roode rematch at Hardcore Justice. Because with the BFG Series going on, what other challengers could Roode have at HJ and No Surrender?

Yea Ive been thinking that this will end up being an extended feud, probably over 2-3 PPVs with the blowoff coming the PPV before BFG. Im expecting this match to end in a way that naturally leads to a rematch. I dont know that im a fan of the title being held up though, I think Roode needs to 100% retain it until he meets Storm at BFG. Maybe have Roode get DQed or counted out or something after 20+ mins of a good match.

Dixie Carter @tnadixie Impressed by all the X division talents we saw. Those who didn't advance are back at ppv in last chance fourway for 8th spot in tourney.
So it'll be OnlYuma v RubixSaw v Scorpio Sky v Dakota Darsow at the PPV.

In addition to the match there will be an announcer change (for one night only):
ANNOUNCING CHANGE TO SUNDAY'S PPV, X-DIVISION UPDATE AND MORE by Mike Johnson @ 11:09 PM on 7/5/2012
It was announced during the Impact Post Game show that Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash would be handling the commentary for Sunday's PPV. I don't know 100% on this but one source believed Taz had a family commitment.

I think that was around the time Taz's brother in law died.

Which from a sports perspective is pretty cool, its like the new baseball rule to determine the Wild Card winner. From a realistic point of view, yikes, that's exhausting, especially with Ultimate X as the last match. Given the way they hyped him up I see Scorpio taking this.

I think Aries wins this one.....he's too hot right now and for them to do otherwise would be a huge letdown.

On the one hand A Double is super hot right now and will maybe lose some credibility if they do not book this match right. On the other hand Storm needs to beat Roode for the World Heavyweight Title at some point soon (most likely BFG), otherwise his near year long chase means nothing.

Booking both guys strong and making it to where both 'need' the title, with it being hard to predict how it will turn out.
Thats not a bad thing!

Roode is not losing the title before BFG. With two more PPV's in between Destination X and BFG, I'd imagine this ends in some sort of convoluted way (Roode screws Aries somehow) which leads to multiple rematches. They can't really have Roode defend against new challengers with the BFG Series going on, so a best of 3 type series with Aries until BFG makes sense.
It wouldn't surprise me if Aries wins the title (the build-up certainly suggests he could), but I don't see it.

The most I could really see is a scenario where Aries wins the belt, but is immediately screwed out of it somehow. As long as it's not a completely dominating win, it allows Aries to look like he belongs in the main event, and Bobby Roode can retain his heat.

What I would like to see is Kenny King win the X title at Destination X while Aries fail to win the World title. Next few weeks King brags that he is the best and so forth. You keep seeing vignettes of Aries and KK as friends with Aries congradulating him. Then there's a X Division tag match(3 on 3) wich Hogan force Aries to be part of even if he doesn't want to(since he believes he is above it now). KK cause his team to lose and then Aries after the match just unleash on Kenny, destroying him, the blood flows. Heel turn by Aries. Instant feud between the two.
The whole thing would make sense because for Aries this defeat at Destination X would be proof of sort that he couldn't hang with the big boys and in his mind he would not accept that. Plus seeing his friend winning the X title, jealousy would come into play and attacking him would be to mark his territory showing that King is beneath him. I can just see the promo "King you've been bragging for weeks that you're the best but i'm the best, i'm the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived! How dare you saying you're the best, you're just an X wrestler".
