Yeah, Todd's a sociopath and he's going to go after Walt when he figures out everything. Walt's cunning, but does dome dumb things sometimes.

I really really really didn't think Walt had that in him. This is one of the few shows where I can honestly say I have no idea what a characters going to do from one scene to the next.

^ I had the same issue. I didn't think he had the stones. I know a lot of people who loved Mike who are going to see this as the last straw for having even the slightest sympathy whatsoever for Walt (as if poisoning a small child wasn't already the moral event horizon). And I can't say I would blame them. I still have a small scintilla of sympathy (more like pity, really) for Walt, but that disappears the minute he gets Jesse killed.
My review and analysis of the episode is linked in the sig, for any overanalyzing types like me.

I don't think anyone has to worry about Jesse's fate in the show. If anyone between the duo of Walt/Jesse is being killed by the end of the series, it's Walt. When it's all it said and done, I see Hank having to kill Walt with an unlikely assistance from Jesse. Hank and Jesse have never been on the best of terms (Hank almost beat Jesse to death one time), but I think when Jesse finally realizes the monster Walt has become, he's going to seek Hank's help to put an end to the madness once and for all.
Hank solves his case, and Jesse is sent to prison (albeit with a reduced sentence after helping take down Heisenberg), but with a turned leaf and becoming a better, maturer man from the experience.

Thats how I see it. Breaking Bad is about Walt going from the light to complete darkness and for Jesse he went from darkness to further darkness to redemption and going to the light. He is the opposite of Walt.

But Walt dying at the end, likely as a result of his own hubris, that I could almost see them going for the most daring ending since The Sopranos went black, and actually have Walt WIN.
Sure, it has maybe a 1.2% chance of happening, but it would be every bit as ballsy as this show has always been, even if it would be an affront to the story it's been telling, lo these past five seasons.

That could be a small possibility. I mean, the show is called "Breaking Bad", not "Breaking Bad & Die", so Walt doesn't have to actually die, although it's obvious it's the more logical move. Having the villain win at the end, would be ballsy as hell, but you're right, this show has definitely had it's fair share of ballsy moves. So that happening isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility. And you know what? I'd be totally okay with it. Yes, Walt is a monster and deserves what's coming to him, but dammit, Bryan Cranston is SO F***ING GOOD at what he does, that I don't want to see it end like that, ya know? Like, I'd be perfectly fine if he did die, but a small part of me would also like that a villain, especially Walter White, went up against what's normal and actually prevails. You know what he's doing is all kinds of wrong, but you want to see him continue because it's so enticing. My god this show is f***ing amazing for that alone.

The show that Mike was watching during the DEA search of his house was about a police officer that commits suicide. This is a foreshadowing. I think Hank pieces it all together, and when he's finally confronted with the reality of Walt being Heisenberg, and what it means for his family and his career, he ends up killing himself... Or...since the show is called Breaking Bad, every major character has broken bad so far, except Hank. Marie became a klepto again, Skyler had the affair, Walt Jr. got busted trying to buy beer in the first season, Walt is obvious, Jesse broke bad by gaining moral perspective. Hank is the only one left that hasn't changed his moral compass in some way. I'd say it's equally probable that Hank figures out it was Walt, and lets him walk, so long as the blue stuff stays out of his region, and in Arizona, which would be under Phoenix's DEA operations. Out of sight, out of budget, out of mind. Hank breaks bad.

Well, I finally watched the episode. And I almost want to cry. It seems surreral for Mike to finally be dead, although, as stated, he went out as a badass. Still, I couldn't help but think that this would have made a good ending for next week's episode. Essentially, the half season could've ended with a main character getting killed while Walt figures out a way to protect himself - a method that would result in the death of nine people.
But OMG, I cannot believe what is happening! I agree that, when all is said and done, Jesse is going to be the lone survivor of all this (along with probably Saul). But not after he first has a showdown with Todd (seriously; who wouldn't want Jesse to be the one to take him out?). Maybe he'll decide to go to the DEA, only for Todd to try to block him. And then, finally, we get Walt vs Hank.
Booyah!!!

I have been thinking about this for the last few days. Is there any chance that the name and person Walter White dies but Heisenberg lives on? In the way that he is the ghost head of an empire that he always wanted without having to go back to his normal/home life because that part (and that name) is dead, his life can just be the idea and name of Heisenberg. Completely Breaking Bad and having the sole intent of raising hell.

Maybe in the last season Walter will see firsthand about the problems he made. And what I mean is the effects that his blue meth had on other people and their families. Maybe, Walter JR would become addicted to the blue meth and die from over dose. Skyer would then blame Walter on JR’s death and seek revenge. She would tell Hank about Walter and then Walter would go into hiding. While the new kingpin will kill Skyer, Hank and Marie, (I hope not Holly). Walter will then go on a suicide mission once he hears the news about his whole family dying. Jesse would then be the one that kills Walter when Walter finds out that Jesse is working for the new kingpin. Walter would go from the light to the darkness back to the light while Jesse would go from the darkness to the light and back to the darkness.

I honestly see this show ending with Jesse standing tall, and maybe even as the sole survivor out of all the main and supporting characters. There is definitely at some point going to be a huge stand off between Hank and Walt, and I can see Walt winning that battle using some crazy chemistry formula or mix, perhaps even poisoning him as Hank gets closer to finding out his true identity.
The talk about keeping the White family safe is definitely foreshadowing for what is to come. I like the idea someone had of Walt Jr dying from an OD of his fathers own meth, and then the other family members being killed either by Walt himself in some crazed episode or by a potential new rival.
At any rate, this show is easily the best show on TV. I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

Personally I wouldn't want to see Walt Jr dying from an OD of Walter's meth, there'd have to be some sort of foreshadowing to it.
If for the past few seasons there was some sort of suggestion that he was involved with drugs I could see it working. Sure there was that whole trying to buy beer thing and Hank setting him straight but that was dropped pretty soon after and he just became a background character. Even now, if they were showing him taking stuff as a way of rebelling to his parents for kicking him out I could buy it but taking him as he is, I think it'd come off as lazy writing and just a way to get a cheap shock.

What if Walt, for whatever reason, decides to leave a ricin cigarette for Skyler, only for Walt Jr. to secretly take it instead as a sign of rebelling, smokes it, and later dies?

It would be a massive shift though, considering Walt poisoned a child not more than a few weeks ago in the show's canon, just to eliminate a direct threat on Hank's life.

Yeah that might work easier, just show little signs of him acting out, Hank and Maria find cigarettes in his jeans or something. Just foreshadowing. I mean you could easily do the same stuff with drugs but I just think with only an episode and then half a season left for Walt Jr to go from strait-laced to full blown meth user is a little much to buy.
