I like it.
Alot of people focused on him saying he's the underdog, but they didn't quite get it with that promo on show.
The "What happens when you lose" is the same thing he pulled on Punk, and its basically saying "I'm at the top, and if you can't win, you've accomplished nothing", and thus its almost the opposite of saying he's the underdog. It almost makes it to where his opponent has to win.
Its almost the same situation too, where one guy gets all this momentum leading up to a match with Cena. He should be like that more often.

I just think it's funny that every time he does it he goes and gets his ass kicked.
I'd stop hyping up my opponents if I were you, John.

It's hilarious how color by numbers Cena's character is. It's actually pretty sad that we know exactly how it'll likely play out as well.

And if he loses, he shows up the next night on Raw his same smiley, gooney self, like nothing happened.

Hype up his wins by acting like he was the underdog the entire time. Downplay his losses by acting like the match was no big deal. And it's only a small portion of the fans that actually realize what the WWE is doing. To the rest, Cena looks like their favorite superhero come to life.

It's only Cena that tries to downplay his losses. WWE as a whole, the announcers and the other characters really don't do that- in fact there's been countless references to Cena's loss to the Rock being one of his most humiliating moments, and all discussion of his win over Lesnar is always puncuated with talk about the beating he suffered.

Yeah, it's like that more so lately. But in the past, there were numerous times when announcers refuse to bring up a Cena loss or would downplay it. And of course his opponents do bring them up from time to time, but they're almost always heels so people will tend to go with Cena's version of what happened rather than the heel's.

I still say in a one on one contest the whole underdog thing is easier to believe than most fans do.
