Can someone please explain to me WHY they call him Vader? I mean that's a strange thing to call someone. I can understand something like "The Man They Call Killer" or "The Man They Call Beast" but why would they call him "Vader?" What about him makes him a "Vader?" Better yet, who is this "They" that's calling him "Vader?" What's his true wrestling name if they just call him "Vader" and he isn't named Vader? And how come this specific "They" gets chosen over other "Theys" that may call Vader something else?
These questions have gone unlooked for 12 and a half years.

He's not a real Vader, just a man called Vader. Like Sting, isn't a real sting - he's just a man called Sting.

Here's the actual answer
Giant Baba traded his contract over to New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1987. White's name was once again changed, from Bull Power to Big Van Vader,[/b] and he began to wear a mask (though not the red or black strap for which he is now famous, but instead a mask that covered the top half of his head and face). His new identity was based on a strong warrior of the same name from Japanese folklore[/b]

They should do that with everyone.
The Man They call Daniel Bryan will face The Man They Call CM Punk w/ The Man They Call AJ in his corner

In WWE, the term 'They' did not refer to NJPW. Vince said that 'They' meant 'the fans' when Shawn Michaels asked him on commentary who 'they' were.

Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff call him 'vader because of his insane skills on Space Invaders.
