The last 2 editions of this show have delivered the goods... Could it do so for a third time? And go.

Don't think they have enough talent on the roster to do two MITB matches, and with the brand split largely dead an interbrand one makes sense anyway.
-Ziggler -Rhodes -Barrett -Jericho -Mysterio -Christian
Just to name a few.

I expect Rhodes to win and cash in on Sheamus either the same night or in the near future.

So... who's in that golden spot where they're almost but not quite ready to be taken seriously as world champions? On the one hand, there're so few people left who are booked to look remotely credible. On the other hand, the bar's been lowered awfully far in terms of how important being a world champion is these days.
I'll guess our briefcase winners will be Ziggles and Cody. Replace Cody with Barrett if he's back from injury in time for the PPV.

Congratulations on your new briefcases, Mr. Rhodes and Mr. Ziggler.

For the love of it all, please only have one MITB match and let him choose the champ.
They haven't had a face win and cash in since Punk in 2008 (Punk in 09 and Bryan last year won but turned heel on cash in) so a face winning and cashing in would be fresh. That said, I think Cody takes it.

Indeed, it's Rhodes and Ziggler's briefcases to lose at the moment.
I still hope that they do 2 MITB matches, though. Gives some of the lesser known talent just a small taste of the spotlight, even if they are just fodder for the guys expected to win.

So who does Cena face in the main event? And what spot in the card is Punk's title match buried at?

Ziggler wins the briefcase, cashes in and wins the title in his current place of residence all on the same night.

Maybe you do Cena/Punk 1 year later? This time Punk is the guy cruising and Cena is the guy who has been fighting and being beat down most of the last year. Spin it as since Punk beat him, Cena has had more downs than ups and he wants to right that?
You could then put Bryan in MITB or do Bryan/Kane for the number one contendership with AJ manipulating Kane.

I'm going to go in a weird angle and say that they'll do another Punk/Cena match this year as sort of a tribute to their MITB'11 match. While Kane and Byran start feuding with each other.
Then I agree with everyone else saying Rhodes as winning one of the MITB cases. And if they do another, I'll say... Santino. Why not?

It'll be Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler I'm sure.
Wade's about ready to return now and Ziggler is ready to move up. Even if there's "not" a brand split I see these being the guys in the match
Money in the Bank #1 - Dolph Ziggler - Kofi Kingston - Jack Swagger - Sin Cara - Alex Riley - R-Truth - Otunga
Money in the Bank #2 - Wade Barrett - Cody Rhodes - Hunico - Justin Gabriel - Damian Sandow - Tyson Kidd - The Miz
If they did this then it would work well but hey it's the WWE. If there for some weird reason there's only 1 MitB match then year then..
- Wade Barrett - Dolph Ziggler - Kofi Kingston - Sin Cara - Cody Rhodes - Justin Gabriel - Tyson Kidd
I hope there's 2 but if they do 1 then hey I'll still give it to Wade.

Maybe I'm reading into the wording too much, but Cole said, during the PPV hype at ringside, that the winner of the briefcase would get an opportunity at the WWE AND World Heavyweight Championships, which leads me to believe that there would only be one MitB match.

Honestly, that sounds like the winner gets 2 title shots at his disposal. You mean to say "OR" instead of "AND", right?
