This is exactly why they need a midcard. I've been watching a lot of late 90's WWF, and it's crazy to me how many over characters and angles they had compared to now. The main-eventers had angles, the midcarders had angles, the tag teams had angles. Nowadays, WWE mostly focuses on angles for the top main-event talent, and the rest of the roster just sort of wrestles one another at random, and feud by doing run-ins and tag matches. They never get to cut loose on the mic or get vignettes. It stinks, and it needs to change. When I watch WWE, I want to feel like I'm watching a complete product. I want the lower card guys to be just as fully-developed characters as the top guys. But when will they show the 3 recaps of what happened last week and 3 more recaps of earlier in the show??? That's what's taking up all the tv time. I completely agree with you though.
