1994 is a really underrated year when it comes to great matches. I think this was the first full year that WWF really put the focus on great matches as opposed to just promoting massive stars like Hogan/Warrior.

I think 94 IT was a really good year, now 95....that's another story for another day... I voted for Bret vs Backlund. Match was pretty damn good, but it was Owen that made that match. PLEASE, THROW IN THE TOWEL!!! I also love how backlund goes bat s*** crazy when the Fink announces ' THE NEWWWW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!' Awww I should've made that one of my votes I think I somehow mixed-up the disappointment of their WrestleMania match with this one, which was of course awesome because of the drama of Bulldog and Owen at ringside, and Stu and Helen in the front-row. Owen was unbelievably good and he wasn't even wrestling ;D And to answer my own question from the 1995 thread - 1994 did indeed have the classic Bret v. 1-2-3 Kid match. I recently watched one of the Legends of Wrestling Roundtable discussions, and JR specifically mentions this match and speaks passionately about calling it at ringside

1. Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon - Wrestlemania X 2. Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart - Wrestlemania X 3. The 123 Kid vs. Bret Hart - Monday Night Raw 4. Shawn Michaels and Diesel vs. Razor Ramon and The 123 Kid - Action Zone 5. Bob Backlund vs. Bret Hart - Survivor Series 1994
* Just remembered the awesome Owen Hart/123 Kid match on RAW. I'd probably put that at number 5 instead.
