If Jerry Lawler went away, would anyone care? I've never really been a fan, but in recent years he's just become even more annoying. I'm probably one of the few people who actually kinda likes Michael Cole, as well, despite a few glaring moments. He plays corporate stooge well. I also like Booker, for all his inane babbling, as well as Josh Matthews in the role of straight, dry play by play. They're all very likeable to me, unlike Lawler.
I think there would be so much improvement if the Raw announce lineup was Cole, Matthews, and Steven Regal. I've always enjoyed Regal and Matthews' back and forth on NXT, especially when Regal would go off on some wild tear and Josh could be heard, exasperatedly trying to call out moves.

The thing is I'm not really sure what Lawler really does in his position. Booker's goofy but is always excited as well as puts people over, Cole calls the matches and despite his obnoxious quasi-burials can make some good points, and Josh is quite informative and mentions ring psychology.
King's just... there.

Depends on who they get to replace him. I know everyone here love Heyman on commentary, but his voice annoyed the crap outta me. Booker T would be awful as the main color commentator.
I think they just need to find the right guy for the role and then get rid of him.

The fans in the arena who cheer for him and chant his name would, I'm guessing.
WWE should make him GM of Raw. I think he'd be much better in that role than as announcer.

I don't dislike him as much as a lot of people on here do, but I would definitely not miss him.

Isn't he there to be the voice of the reactions they want out of the audience?
Because of that, I wouldn't.

Get him out of the announce booth, turn him heel, and give him as stable. GM might not even be a bad role.
I've been sick of him as a color commentator for literally more than a decade. Don't have him on there as a commenter, and DON'T HAVE HIM NEARLY BEAT WORLD TITLE CONTENDERS.

If it means Booker T. moves to Raw and is the main color commentator, then I'd miss Lawler.

Depends who they replaced him with. If it was Striker or Matthews then yes.

Nope. I'm sick of him ignoring the live audience/blatantly lying about their preferences. It's ridiculous.

Hate to speak against my hometown boy, but no one seemed to miss him when Heyman replaced him back in 2001.

Cole just needs to stop being fed crap to say. In a three-man team, Booker can at least provide some interesting batshit, and is generally harmless. Lawler spends matches insulting Vickie Guerrero for no reason, and even ignoring the whole "Be a Star" thing since I don't take issue on that front, it's f***ing crude and dumb. He doesn't care anymore and it shows so badly. He wants a paycheck and knows it's probably easier work than being a road agent. His commentary at this point is interminable.

One other job for him - Punch Throwing Instructor. 90% of the wrestlers today can't throw a convincing punch like he can.
