I'm finding it hard to believe these are really just hand drawn with pencil tbh. If they are, they are amazing. Link. One of the pictures in the article is a nude so may be NSFW.

Im having trouble believing it myself mainly cause I cant find a single video of him drawing, just tons of articles with the same photos. You would think there would be a video article of a guy with these skills, not just printed media.

These are legit. I've seen pictures as real as this and even more detailed and photo-like. There is a variety of ways of doing them but a popular way to do them is with "circularism". It's basically making tiny little circles with your pencil (very lightly), "tapping off the excess" with a kneaded eraser, and going back in for another layer. It is extremely time-consuming. The article says they take about 3-6 weeks to do and that's about accurate except they didn't mention that you're probably talking about ten hours a day. Anyone can do them (in manner of speaking) as long as you have a set of pencils, a kneaded eraser, an electic eraser, and a massive amount of patience. I cannot stress "patience" enough. I've tried doing this stuff myself and as patient as I can be, I find this style to be murder. It's really slow work but it does pay off if done properly. You can make stuff look really realistic and it's a bit of a head-trip to do so. I don't know if this will show up that well but this was a picture I started years ago before Episode 3 came out where I tried this technique. I completely messed it up by rushing and I got really fed up with it: Edit: This was about 20 hours of work.
