Shame. From what I caught of it, it was a decent show, albiet a slow-moving one.
Also, who's to say HBO didn't cancel it both for the horse deaths and bad ratings?

They had already renewed it for a second season, although that was before the bad ratings. So I think the fallout from the horse death had a lot more to do with it.

Yeah, I wonder if this was similar to the Wrestlemania 7 "bomb threat."
But either way, I was enjoying this show. Disappointed to see it go, and reading about the horses' deaths was sad.

It's HBO so they don't really care about ratings. I believe them when they say it. Shame.

It probably was more of the horse deaths than the ratings. HBO is one of those channels that is very leniant and allows you to do a season before cancelling.

I actually did enjoy the show, but if it's killing horses, they have to get rid of it.

Y'know just a thought, but if I were the CEO of a cable company and I had a show that was resulting in horses dying, I'd probably look into WHY they were dying before making an announcement like that.
