Just wanted to thank you guys for suggesting Suikoden. I decided to check it out this morning and I've barely been able to pull myself from it. I'm already 6.5 hrs into it. If you're loving the first one then 2 and 5 are great pick ups. The Quality of the series pretty much goes as following (Gaidens aren't included because I've never played them) 1. Suikoden 2 2. Suikoden 5 3. Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 3 4. Suikoden Tactics 5. Suikoden Tierkreis 6. Suikoden 4

Breath of Fire IV is my favourite in that series.

thought I'd piggy-back onto this thread myself. I have about 10$ stored. I was going to use it for the ME3 extended endings, but those will apparently be free, so I was looking for tips as to what I should pick up. I already have Suikoden/Wild Arms, so those suggestions won't be good for me. I also have Grandia. anybody have a PSone Classic or PSn game they can recommend for 10$?

If it's 4 I'll probably ignore it, but if it's 3, would it be a bad idea to borrow it without playing 2 first? EDIT: Just remembered that he played it when I was at his house a long time ago. The beginning of the game took place in a ship docking area or something. That's Suikoden IV isn't it?

The beginning of the game took place in a ship docking area or something. That's Suikoden IV isn't it? Sounds like IV. IV is worth playing once, if you can get it cheap or just borrow it. Tactics is in the same area, time and location wise (IV & Tactics take place a long time before the rest of the series) and is more fun than IV, but they sort of go together. III is great, though the battle system takes a little getting used to. You don't need to play I & II first, but it helps in being able to understand some of the references and characters. III is mostly it's own story beyond a few key parts so you won't be horribly lost if you haven't played II, but if you can find II for a decent price it's definitely worth picking up.
