I've watched the SMU one more than any other. It wasn't an official 30 for 30 I believe, but I love The Fab 5 one.

I narrowed it down to 2* and I can't decide so, 1a, and 1b, in no particular order:
1a: Pony Excess (SMU) 1b: The U (Miami Football)
*I had originally a three-way tie, until I discovered the Fab Five (Michigan basketball) wasn't an original 30 for 30 film, but was subsequently produced. So I'll give it an honorable mention.

Catching Hell just more for the ending of "what if Bartman moved out of the way, and alou made the catch?"
with the shot of alou catching the ball and the announcer going "and Alou with a fantastic catch this ballgame is over! the cubs are going...to the world series!!!"
right....few things...
1 - the catch only would have been the second out of the inning
2 - it was only the 8th inning...

I forgot about Catching Hell. I've seen most of it, and that it was really good too.

June 17 1994 was my favorite. Just seeing all the ways the stories intertwined was fascinating. Other favorites were Catching Hell, the USFL one, Straight Outta LA, The Real Rocky, and The Announcement.

Pony Excess is probably my #1.
After that it's June 17, 1994, The Real Rocky, Winning Time, The Band That Wouldn't Die, Renee, The U and Catching Hell.

Winning Time just because it reaffirms that Reggie Miller was a badass and 90s basketball was out of this world. Also Kings' Ransom because it reminds me of better times.

I'm shocked Unguarded is not on this list.... Especially seeing everyone knows the stories of SMU, The U, Reggie Miller, and Bartman.

Pony Exce$$ is my choice as well.
Catching Hell was good, but disappointing. With how many times it was delayed, I thought they had something big in it. Maybe the first interview with Bartman.
Jordan Rides the Bus is underrated.

June 17, 1994 Pony Excess Whatever the one about Marcus Dupree was called I haven't seen some of the newer ones yet though. Think it was called The Greatest That Never Was. I enjoy that one. Small Potatoes: Who Killed The USFL? and Pony Exce$$ are two I usually watch if flipping channels. Fernandomania (think that was the name of it) is my favorite about baseball, as I was a huge fan of the man. Yes, Sir! is okay; I seem to get by on memories of that day more than the actual episode.

I'd love to see a 30 for 30 doc on the WBF of XFL, but considering that ESPN and Vince McMahon are somewhat chummy (he was on the real rocky documentary, as well as that E:60 segment on scott hall), i doubt it'll happen (though they could do a documentary on the rise of bodybuilding, and have the WBF be a side story i suppose).

I loved Pony Excess, but I would probably pick Catching Hell as the favorite. That whole story was/is really interesting and I think they did a great job with the documentary.
I have yet to see the one based on the USFL, sadly.

tough to narrow down but my 2 are
Catching Hell- as a Cubs fan I always believed Alex Gonzalez's error was bigger than the Bartman play
Once Brothers (thinking thats the title of the Vlade Divac/Drazen Petrovic one)- tragic
just missed the cut- Four Days in October
