Cena wasn't on that PPV in any capacity. No match, no backstage skit, not even a videotaped promo. Not in any capacity, whatsoever! THEY ACTUALLY HAD THE BALLS TO DO IT!

And it was one of the best PPVs of the year...not because of lack of Cena or anything, but yeah.

Imagine telling someone last year that in the last PPV of 2011, Cena would be entirely absent, and Punk/Bryan would be the heavyweight champions. Stuff of a madman's dreams!

No Cena. Ryder Wins. Bryan Wins. Punk Wins.
That's like IWC Heaven, right?

I think they managed to outsmark the MITB PPV. It's like they're having a contest or something.

This is a surprisingly bold move on the WWE's part. Something tells me that perhaps they are trying to gauge just how many people will buy a show without Cena being featured on it and just how well Punk draws as a main eventer.
Something also tells me though that the buyrate results are not going to be pretty.

It should've been Cena / Miz and Punk / del Rio. Then they wouldn't have had to blow their load early on a Miz / Punk title match and at least having Cena on the card might have offset the beating this show is gonna take in the buyrate.

Wait, so an IWC pandering PPV, with no Cena, on a PPV that probably wasn't going to have a good buyrate.
ITS A TRAP!!!

Cena's new spot is wrestling the dark match against Ted Diabetes.

Cena not on PPV and internet favorites CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Zack Ryder all walk out as champs.
THE PPV MUST HAVE BEEN HACKED!

I hope the buy rate is good for this PPV but I doubt it will be unfortunately. It was an excellent show, but WWE could read a low buyrate as "no one can be the main guy other than Cena." Hope not though as I am loving Punk as the top dog - he was superb tonight I thought.
Expected Cena on commentary or something - I think WWE would be advised to keep him out of the ring until just before Wrestlemania just incase of injury. However, whether they will be willing to do so, and take a likely buyrate hit, is another matter.

Between this, the anti-Cena shirts, and the... whatever they're doing with him on Raw, I think they're testing the waters a bit in terms of changing it up with Cena. & I have to say it's about damn time.

And that's a good thing HOW? I think everyone needed this one break from Cena. Just this once. It was refreshing if you ask me, and I don't even hate the guy. Wait, so an IWC pandering PPV, with no Cena, on a PPV that probably wasn't going to have a good buyrate. ITS A TRAP!!! *TLC buyrates are not good to the surprise of no one* Vince: See?! You people were WRONG WRONG WRONG about this! ABORT! STATUS QUO!

Cena sacrificed himself for the sake of the Internet, and gave Ryder his spot.
on RAW we'll find out he told DB to cash in, and gave Punk pointers on how to escape handcuffs.
