Either facing Brodus Clay or he'll somehow get hotshotted into the title match.

I like the idea of making Cena the special guest referee in the Ziggler vs. Ryder match. Maybe with some sort of stipulation where if Ryder wins it somehow screws over Cena.

If Cena IS off the card, it would be the first time in, what, two or three years? I don't think he's missed a PPV since he went out on injury a few years back.
It would be different, that's for sure.

Hey, Cena gave up his title shot like a clown shoe. Why wouldn't he give up a spot on the card?

He's gonna take Daniel Bryan's MITB and cash it in on Mark Henry.

I didn't count that because of the tag title match against the Dashing Ones with Otunga.

Yup, my bad. Anyway, I think he should be involved in the Ziggler/Ryder match somehow, give it an even bigger spotlight.

I'm not convinced that they're gonna keep him out of the main event yet.

I'm not convinced that they're gonna keep him out of the main event yet. It's Punk and two (boring) heels, you almost have to stick Cena in there to get any sort of fan investment in the match.

He'll definitely get inserted into the title match.

Punk alone is enough that fans will be interested, as he's pretty much the most cheered superstar on Raw. And the Miz, while many find boring (myself included), is probably the most hated heel on Raw right now. And Del Rio's always been great in these kinds of matches. So I don't see why this match wouldn't do just fine without Cena.

It must just be me, but IMO this Punk/Miz/Del Rio match seems to be a boring filler title match until the Road To Wrestlemania gets started. Cena would add a lot to the match.
