I just thought about this when I was watching the Greatest Cage Matches DVD. Edge came out for his match with Jericho in 2002, when he had Rob Zombie for his theme, and they did a very convincing job of dubbing in "Metalingus".
Obviously that's because they don't have the rights to "Never Gonna Stop Me" anymore, but has there ever been a comprehensive lists of what themes et all are dubbed on DVDs?
I haven't watched very far on my Ricky Steamboat set... I'm sure "Sirius" is dubbed out as well.

The weird thing is though that the same theme may be on one DVD and not on the other. They'll do shit like dub the LOD's new music on something then have their regular music on something else. It's really strange sometimes.

A lot of the 2003 dvd's had music dubbed over.
For example, it was rare to hear the actual themes of; Booker T, Kane and RVD. They all had weird, almost midi versions of their themes.

Stacy's 'Legs' theme was missing. Taker's themes from the Biker days are mostly strange dubs of tunes he never ever used.

With some of the newer releases, Hogan's theme from 2002-2003... Voodoo Chile is dubbed over with Real American.
In some cases, Glass Shatters is dubbed over with Austin's normal theme.

I believe The Game may have been created for WWE like Downstait themes are.

Yeah, you're right about Kane. I didn't watch during the Invasion, so I never heard RVD come out to that other then on DVD. Also IIRC Ric Flair was another one where his traditional theme was dubbed over with another sound-a-like for a little while.

Bizarrely that one is now dubbed over with his proper theme on recent releases.

Foley had his WWF Cactus Jack theme overdubbed with Mr. Bang Bang on the Royal Rumble 98 DVD, probably more.

The Rock/Austin Mania X7 promo is dubbed over on the Anthology DVD. As a matter fact, that entire set is dubbed like hell.
Mania 27 didn't have Taker/HHH special themes either.

This is why I love having some of the original WWF DVD releases like WrestleMania X-Seven, etc. because they were untouched with the theme songs and such.

Wrestlemania VI
Demolition have their instrumental heel theme, and Bossman has his Attitude Era theme.

Hillbilly Jim's "Don't Go Messin' With a Country Boy" is dubbed over, I think.

I especially love how they gave Biker 'Taker his ministry theme. I swear it was there way of saying "f*** this, let's just throw in the ministry theme and call it a day." Granted that theme is better than the crappy one they dubbed in on the tombstone DVD.

There's a Dusty Rhodes vs Macho Man match on a recent WWE DVD where they dubbed over Dusty's music with... The theme music from the UK version of Wheel of Fortune.
Go search for it. I'm looking at it right now. Mental.

Wrestlemania VI Demolition have their instrumental heel theme, and Bossman has his Attitude Era theme. It's weird. On my Wrestlemania box set, 1-21, Big Bossman's theme is always his Attitude era one. But in the Royal Rumble box set which came out a few years later, his Hard Times theme is still there. What's worse, is sometimes Slick's theme is dubbed over.
