The WCCW has dubbed themes for the von erichs, as Kerry used to use Blondie's "Call me" or Rush's "Tom Sawyer".

There's a Dusty Rhodes vs Macho Man match on a recent WWE DVD where they dubbed over Dusty's music with... The theme music from the UK version of Wheel of Fortune. Go search for it. I'm looking at it right now. Mental. I've just looked it up on YouTube. That's incredible.

The whole dubbing thing really grinds my gears you would think with the money the WWE makes they could afford to have songs on future releases.

the first run of every dvd should be limited and have all themes untouched.

With some of the newer releases, Hogan's theme from 2002-2003... Voodoo Chile is dubbed over with Real American. . Its even funnier when you see hogan doing the air guitar to real american during those redubbed intros.

Have any wcw themes been untouched? I know that the horsemen 89 theme is used on the first flair dvd, but for the most part most wcw matches just start with them already in the ring.

Sting,Seek & Destroy.I remember someone posted a clip where they dubbed in Mike Knox's theme over it. On the best of Nitro set, they replaced Seek And Destroy with the Crow!Sting theme.

Wrestlemania VI Demolition have their instrumental heel theme, and Bossman has his Attitude Era theme. It's weird. On my Wrestlemania box set, 1-21, Big Bossman's theme is always his Attitude era one. But in the Royal Rumble box set which came out a few years later, his Hard Times theme is still there. What's worse, is sometimes Slick's theme is dubbed over. That is because they never bothered to ask Jimmy Hart if they could use his music on the Mania set. By the time the Rumble set came out, they asked and he said he'd love for them to use it. They attempted to save cash on something Hart didn't care about.

They usually edit out Bret Hart's WCW theme on footage from that era with some other generic crap (not his WWF theme, as would be the more logical decision).

Goldberg's theme in WCW is always replaced with his WWE one.

The whole dubbing thing really grinds my gears you would think with the money the WWE makes they could afford to have songs on future releases. Even more mind-boggling is that Vince will go out of his way to clear HAPPY BIRTHDAY for TV and any-and-all DVD releases of (far and away one of the most expensive songs to clear for any reason) and yet he won't cough up a little dough for a pristine Wrestlemania III release.

On the 2006 Hogan DVD set, they put Real American in his AWA match.

The worst recent one was dubbing out Aint No Grave on Undertaker v Triple H. Very annoying and why purchase the rights to the song at all if they were not going to include it on the WM27 dvd? Would the royalty payment really be that bad - and surely they would have known that before ever using the theme.
I just really liked it as Taker's entrance and wanted the match in its original state.

Well, in some ways, I'm kind of glad I kept a recorded VHS with the majority of No Mercy 2002 and all of Armageddon 2002, while owning the DVDs of both events. Edge comes out to "You Think You Know Me" on the DVD, while the recorded VHS has "Never Gonna Stop."
Also, when I watched the Bret Hart DVD, during the match with Chris Benoit, at the beginning, Benoit comes out to his first WWF theme, while Bret comes out to some theme I've never heard him use. I guess the people at WCW didn't own those themes, huh?
