I don't mean that somebody else should be given that nickname. But with Shawn Michaels gone and Undertaker not far behind him who's going to be the guy that makes Wrestlemania such a big deal every year?
Sure, Cena will still be there...but judging from his WM track record I don't expect him to have any show stealers. Nor do I expect him to become synonymous with the PPV like Taker was.
My money is on CM Punk. I think that barring some sort of career ending injury, he'll be with WWE for a long time. I think that as long as they put him in big matches with the right people every year, he could play Shawn Michael's role of playing the workhorse. His first singles match with Rey was good, but too short. Last year's match with Orton was good, but too conservative. I hope that in the future, he's given big time matches with people he can really put on classics with.

Given the opportunity, I'd say Ziggler or, if he's still in the company, Morrison.

yeah Ziggler I would have thought. Punk has had is it 4 Wrestlemania appearences now? and non of them have blown me away. having said that I couldn't tell you if Shawn's first 4 Wrestlemania appearences blew anyone away or not

Punk has had is it 4 Wrestlemania appearences now? and non of them have blown me away. having said that I couldn't tell you if Shawn's first 4 Wrestlemania appearences blew anyone away or not Well Punk's first 4 matches were like this for me. 1 & 2 were both MITB matches so he didn't really have a chance to steal the show. Shelton was able to do it with MITB but he's an athletic freak. Punk's not known for his spotfest ability. 3 was with Rey Mysterio. I thought it was a fantastic match but it was way too short. They should have had an extra 10 minutes in that match and it could have been legendary. 4 was with Randy Orton and it was just too conservative. It was a very good match but I've never seen the appeal in putting those two against each other. They gel well enough but they don't bring out the best in each other. I think Punk still has a chance. For one, his whole character is built around being the best in the world now so he's actually allowed/encouraged to deliver. For two, they just have to give him the right opponent. I think he could tear down the house with Taker, Ziggler, or Bryan. Speaking of Ziggler, I agree that he might be that show stealing guy. The only reason I went with Punk over him is b/c Punk having a long WWE career in the main event seems more guaranteed at this point than Ziggler. I don't think Ziggler's going anywhere, but I wouldn't be too surprised if WWE didn't utilize him to his potential.

His first 4 WrestleManias were... WrestleMania V: Tag Team with Marty against Bossman and Akeem. Basic big team vs. quick team match. WrestleMania VI: Vs. Orient Express. Good match, but nothing TOO special. Bulls*** count-out ending WrestleMania VII: vs. Barbarian and Haku. Good opening but I don't know if anyone will say it's the show stealer, especially with Savage vs. Warrior on the same card. WrestleMania VIII: vs. Santana. Good opener, but again...with both Hart/Piper and Savage/Flair on the same show, nothing to mind blowing. Oh, and Punk has been in 5 WrestleManias. 23 in MitB 24 in MitB 25 in MitB 26 vs. Rey 27 vs. Orton.

If given the opportunity, Daniel Bryan, Dolph, Cody, Punk, or maybe even Sheamus.

I'd like it to be Punk, and it could well be, but the smart money is on Ziggler. The guy is having great matches week in, week out with different guys.
