He wishes him well in his recovery, says his contract was up and with his W-L record he wasn't planning on resigning him anyway, hoping he may come back one day when he's in full health. And the ending is so GIF worthy. Just brilliant. vids.wwe.com/14114/wwecom-exclusive-interim-raw-gm

It makes me wonder if this is all a work, or if Morrison's really leaving for good.

It makes me wonder if this is all a work, or if Morrison's really leaving for good. To me, it comes off as a kayfabe version of a real life "we're gonna let you go for now, but the door will be open down the road if you want to come back".

It makes me wonder if this is all a work, or if Morrison's really leaving for good. Given the weird mini promo on the superstars come back to Raw post-Triple H show, with Morrison saying that Johnny Ace was a dick (obviously not stated like that but you get me) I've been wondering. I mean I don't think it's going to be a masterplan to make Morrison a star but I wouldn't be surprised to see 2005-era Matt Hardy esque attacks of The Miz in 3 months time when Miz is walking from his car in the parking lot/backstage etc.

I would never have thought I'd enjoy Johnny Ace as an on-screen character this much.

Yeah, I'm at the point where Ace is one of the people I'm actually tuning in to see. Can't believe it.
That grin gets me every time.

Ace is great and I too got the feeling that this was a very kayfabe style "Get your stuff together and if you wanna come back, we'll give you another shot."

Johnny Ace (while good for some gif's now and again) has to be the worst actor in WWE history. He is just awful.

I don't know, that looked like kicking the poor guy while he was down.
I doubt we will see Morrison return anytime soon.

Considering he's not leaving on the best of terms, you can assume that the writers are taking some easy jabs at him. But at the same time, I think the company would hire him back in a heartbeat. Same way i believe the company would take other midcarders like Shelton Benjamin or MVP back. Honestly, the only midcarders I see the company refusing to allow rehire are Matt Hardy and Ken Kennedy.

I like that for once an evil authority figure isn't some sort of despotic overlord like Vince McMahon was.

Honestly, with the way that they've written Morrison out, I doubt that he shows up in TNA. To me it seems that it's more likely that he goes and does whatever for a while and then shows back up in 6 months to a year. I know that WWE really doesn't care about TNA, but this seems to be a set up for a Morrison return sooner rather than in a few years once a hypothetical TNA contract is up.

Yeah... it really doesn't make a lot of sense for him to leave this way and then come back in like 2 years... as how many people will even remember the way he left? (Outside of us studious forumites.)
