Part of me thinks he'll continue to try and get to Cena, bringing up how everyone hates him and no one wants to see him.
And I'm hoping this leads to some interesting character developments of ol' Mr Stale since 2006.
But in reality he'll brush it all off and make a lame joke and that'll be that

Awesome. Piper's promo on Cena before his free or fired match last year is one of my favorites, though that ended up making it suck even more to see the storyline turn out the way it did.

Would have been awesome if this was done during the Rumble to Mania period with both Rock and Cena, but il take what I can get here. Hopefully Piper will be able to get something more out of Cena than we have been getting at the moment.

I imagine this'll have something to do with Survivor Series, as Cena has absolutely nothing else going on at the moment. I'd like to think that this is another step in the direction of changing John Cena's character somehow, as it's been sorely needed for a while and could benefit the Cena/Rock feud by pushing it in another direction. He doesn't even need to turn heel, I just want him to show some real anger and frustration against Rock. I've been fine with things up until now, but we're nearing the "Road to WrestleMania" and I think it's time for a new phase in this angle to begin.
But there's also a good chance that all this will lead to is him smiling and going, "I don't care what anyone else thinks about me, I don't blame the Rock for what he did, etc."

or RAW will start with a regular Cena promo with no mention of Piper at any point in the show, judging by the last few weeks.

Despite the usual joking of the posters, Cena sold every word that Piper said in that interview completely seriously. Have Piper light a fire under Cena's ass again and the feud could actually become interesting. |
