- WON
Hopefully the guy will hang it up after this. I love me some Taker at Wrestlemania, but he's going to end up wheelchair bound.

Say, what's Sting's contract status with TNA?

Triple H, I hate to say, is the only logical choice. Unless WWE can bring in Goldberg, Lesnar, Sting, which is very unlikely.(unless they wanna go with the miz)

If there is any one guy in the WWE that is set for life, it's 'Taker. He's had a great career. Once he does retire, he will absolutely never be forgotten. So. He's set. He's hurt. He's got nothing left to "prove." And yet, he's willing to go through multiple surgeries on what has become an increasingly regular basis in order to give the fans another Wrestle Mania memory. And it has to be "for the fans" because, honestly, what possible other reason could there be?
Just a crazy amount of respect and gratitude to the man.

I'm going back to my well of optimism that WWE can change Sting's mind about working for them and FINALLY give me Sting/Taker.
I never want to see HHH/Taker ever again.

If Taker's return is set for 'Mania and by the sounds of it, it's not 100% does that mean the vignette from Raw is for someone else?
Or could he return in a none-wrestling role in January to start the build for 'Mania?

I have a feeling it'll be HHH/Taker, Streak versus Career. With the talk of HHH taking over day-to-day operations next year, it could be possible.

maybe the Barrett barrage is leading up to this? Barrett keeps winning from now til Mania so he can talk about how he's been unbeaten in the last X months and deserves to face at Mania the only other person with a streak "almost" as impressive as his.

Triple H, I hate to say, is the only logical choice. Unless WWE can bring in Goldberg, Lesnar, Sting, which is very unlikely.(unless they wanna go with the miz) No more Triple H please. The last match was incredibly slow and dull and Taker's already beaten him TWICE at Mania. Ideally WWE would give Sting whatever he wants to wrestle Taker. Whatever it takes would be worth it IMO.

Unless WWE can bring in Goldberg, Lesnar, Sting, which is very unlikely.(unless they wanna go with the miz) Goldberg is too rough in the ring for Taker at this point, I doubt that Lesnar is coming back anytime soon, and I think that Sting is tied up with TNA. What I'm thinking is that he'll be taking on Jericho, which will tie in with the "It Begins" vignettes. If not, it is probably HHH again. I can't see anyone else getting the nod.

If it's getting second billing I can't see it being a less established guy like Barrett or Miz. It would have to be Triple H, Jericho, or Sting. Did Sting sign a 1 year deal February to February with TNA?

Well, that's disappointing. They should save him another year. 20-0 is too big a deal to be overshadowed by Rock/Cena, especially since it might be his last match.

Why do a lot of people want to see Taker/Sting so much?

Why do a lot of people want to see Taker/Sting so much? Two icons who have never faced each other and the only marquee match out there for Taker that has never happened. Possibly the only still physically possible dream match left out there.

I guess, but it sure would suck. I don't think it would. It would be more about the spectacle than the technicality of the match, but Taker and Sting can still hold their own in the ring anyway.

Why do a lot of people want to see Taker/Sting so much? I'm not a fan of 'Taker but I loved Sting a ton as a child and a part of me still marks out for him. If he was revealed as an opponent (given he's said in interviews the WWE were approaching him last year again for a 'Taker match) then I'd be as happy as anything. But yeah, it won't happen I think, which is sad. Sting is one opponent that would make me care about 'Taker.
