Zack Ryder is what every superstar should aspire to be.
Instead of sitting back and complaining about how management isn't using him, he continued to put himself out there until he got himself over.
His push is entirely warranted. I love that he keeps getting more and more merch. Pretty soon (as I think someone else noted), he's going to be shown backstage struggling to fit through the door with the amount of stuff he has on.

He deserves every inch of his success right now. So much so that I'd probably say that even if I wasn't a fan.

I think what they're doing with him is good and will help him to stay over longer. If he was already picking up big pinfall victories constantly, he'd fizzle out and die once he peaked. Lets face it, there isn't really much to his character that he can do on RAW.
Remember the Dirt Sheet? Very popular at the time and a simple enough show that you'd think it would work just fine with the live crowd. Yet when Miz/Morrison did a few on TV, it got mostly nosold. Now take Ryder's show and imagine trying to do it with a live crowd. Don't think it'll work. They'll try it though eventually.

What do you do when the guy outpops almost everyone on the roster? You push him. This isn't even a good question, frankly. It's smart business.

After watching him lose to Alberto Del Rio in two minutes last Monday I would say... absolutely not.

You know I keep seeing these complaints about how it's "unrealistic" for Ryder to go from Superstars to main eventing Raw. First of all I'm sure it's a great comfort to the guys in the lowercard that you think they should be stuck there for life. But more to the point, who has he actually beaten? His biggest win so far was beating Ziggler in a nontitle match because Hugh Jackman knocked Ziggler the f*** out.

And at this point, pretty much everyones beaten Jack Swagger. He's not exactly the most credible former World Champion.

That's the point when I thought his push was a little out of hand. However, its obviously didn't hurt Ziggler, and its not like Ryder has been beating everyone in sight, so its okay.

There's no such thing as being "overpushed" when the majority of the audience marks like crazy for someone. Ryder is super over, and is being pushed strongly as a result of it.

The one match that seems a bit odd between him and Ziggler was when Ryder got the win, but the match was restarted because Ziggler had his foot on the rope, but Ryder still gets a clean win. That was the only silly one so far.

My definition of "push" isn't that loose.
He's on television now, sure. I'd think if they wanted to make money with the guy and genuinely want people behind him, they wouldn't do things like re-debut him to have Otunga wail on and make him second fiddle to a 60-something commentator...or really feed him to ADR when the guy is getting massive pops. Or not even have him in a match at Survivor Series...
I would think if they sincerely wanted to push him, they'd be protecting him every chance they could get. It's hard enough to get people to care about the guys they have now, popular mid-card acts need to be handled with care.
Maybe I just haven't been paying attention very closely, but has Ryder really been getting wins that matter? I'd think they'd have given him enough to at least get a match against Dr. Ziggles at Survivor Series for the title without having to appeal on Twitter. It just seems to me the WWE is putting him on television in hopes of selling some more shirts while the whole world can see as they punish the audience for liking someone they weren't supposed to like.
Sure, they'll throw him a bone and give him a meaningless win here and there to bait people, but when it comes time to pull the trigger on him when it really matters the only thing the bookers have in their sights is people's interest.

Ryder couldn't even beat Ziggler for the US title the first time he got a PPV opportunity (Vengeance 2011-- and it was Ziggler's SECOND MATCH of the night). Now he's basically been given Christian's gimmick of continuing to ask for '...one... more... match....' via the Twitter petitions and shameless Z!TLIS pandering even though he's already been given more than a fair shot.
Let's see what else... oh the Internet Championship is a joke. I mean, are you serious bro? Not even Booker T tries to defend it when Cole calls Ryder out as an embarrassment for buying his fake title rather than earning it in the ring. What's sad is that Ryder was his most successful when he first debuted on Smackdown! yyyearsss ago when he was Tag Team Champs with Hawkins-- he hasn't won gold since, despite numerous attempts.
Ryder is so not getting overpushed right now he's like the antithesis of Cena's face push-- it's like everything they've done wrong with SuperCena The Powers That Be have tried the exact opposite with Ryder. With great results, I may add.

Except that unlike Christian, who wasn't deserving of another shot, Ryder has still been successful in non-title matches against Dolph, ergo deserving of one more shot.

He's not being pushed by the WWE, the fans are pushing him into a top spot and the E are giving the crowd what they want.
