There are some big names that have yet to be inducted, and I think having an all ECW class would just further the "How did ___ get in before ____?" thing. This. There are too many guys who peaked long before ECW who should go in first. Though Foley, Heyman, and Bigelow will likely be heavy favorites. It's either going to be Bigelow or Bundy who goes in next year given they are both from New Jersey. I think they should go with Bundy since he's alive, but something tells me it'll be easier to induct Bigelow.

Only one I really care about going into the HOF right now is Rick Rude. Bigelow would be a nice addition, and Foley is pretty much a guaranteed induction.

Foley's a shoe-in. I dunno if Heyman would accept the nomination, he seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't go for it since it's just a title, there's no actual hall of fame. Styles I don't think has earned it. Great announcer of course, but we're not talking Gordon Solie or JR here. I think that's arguing semantics a bit, though. ECW was, despite how it's been beaten well past death at this point, a majorly influential part of wrestling history. Joey Styles was the VOICE of that promotion. I would argue that he should be in. I agree with you 100%, but I also spent the majority of my early teen years having my friend's big brother take us to ECW shows, so I'm a bit biased. Foley is my all time favorite wrestler, despite his current, well...actions, so I think he should go in either way. I would love to see Heyman get in there. In a perfect world, we could have Taz, Raven, RVD, The Dudleys, and Dreamer, but I just think it's kinda doubtful at this point.

You know what else would be awesome? I think it would be fantastic if someone was to hold an Extreme.....Reunion or something like that. I'm really curious as to what all of these ECW alumni are up to these days! Exactly my feelings man. I am so tired of the this ECW stuff let it die. anyone from ECW being inducted into the hall of fame will have had much bigger successes elsewhere. Even Sabu. I wonder if all of these guys are tired of their decades long career boiling down to just ecw runs?

An ECW-Hall of Fame dosen't sound strong to me. I mean, ECW was far from legendary and if they are going to induct anybody based on their ECW accomplishments, it'll just be one of the secondary inductees, and only one at most.
ECW was like the Ross Perot of the major three, small but inspirational, but it never grew beyond its niche fanbase, mainly thanks to Paul "I refuse to pay my talent" Heyman. At most it was just a glorified indy promotion that shouldn't be the focus of any major wrestling events.

As much as I loved ECW back in the day, looking back, it pretty much was a very glorified indie promotion. Outside of Heyman, Tazz, RVD, and MAYBE one or two other guys, I don't think a whole lot of ECW should be in.

ECW was far from legendary Disagreed. It's a vital part of wrestling history, and certainly 90's North American wrestling history. At certain points of the 90's they were putting on the most innovative and exciting wrestling on television. I don't see why the glorified indy thing would be seen as a problem, or why anyone would care.

Yes to Heyman and Foley. I really hope they get inducted in NY/NJ. The time is right.

While casual fans back then knew about ECW, it wasn't in the same realm as WWF and WCW. It had its niche fanbase and nothing more. Would things really change if ECW wasn't around? I understand its (small) impact, but I certanly wouldn't have an ECW-themed Hall of Fame, it just won't draw mainstream fans, thats it.

It's where people got exposure before WCW or WWF wanted them. We'd have no Benoit, Eddie, Malenko, Raven, Dudleys, Jericho, Saturn, Foley...the list goes on. I also don't think we'd have an Attitude Era without ECW.

As much as I like Raven, Sabu, etc. they haven't really done anything of note since ECW folded. I agree with you, but what they accomplished in ECW makes them wrestling legends in the truest sense of the word. Sabu (as a solo wrestler) and The Public Enemy (as a Tag Team) basically revolutionized wrestling by making tables regular part of wrestling events.

I think choosing to induct Heyman would be most likely. He needs to go in to open the door for other ECW guys. Outside of Foley and maybe Taz and Tommy Dreamerand the Dudleys, I have a hard time imagining a WWE Hall of Fame ceremony with most of the top ECW guys (Sandman, Raven, RVD, New Jack). I'd be curious to hear New Jack's acceptance speech. I don't wanna thank no one in the WWE. f*** Vince MacMan. I would like to thank them rats in south Philly. I luuuu dem rats. [\newJack] Though I would expect a few more profanities. But that would be the gist of it.

The only guys from ECW who actually deserve a spot in the HoF are The Dudley Boyz. As much as I like Raven, Sabu, etc. they haven't really done anything of note since ECW folded. Eh, if Koko B. Ware is in, then I guess anybody can be inducted. As the years have passed, Sabu's initial impact seems to sadly have diminished. When he hit ECW in the early 90's, there was NOTHING like Sabu in American wrestling. The idea of the "insane reckless daredevil" that became such a big part of wrestling in the late 90's/early 2000's owes a massive debt to Sabu's emergence. He may not have done much after ECW but his influence on wrestling is pretty big. Definitely Hall of Fame worthy.
