We generally see Wrestlemania X-7 referenced as the best Wrestlemania, possibly even best PPV in WWE's history (I don't want this thread to turn into an argument about that though). But I was just wondering what you guys consider other companies best ever shows to be. This is from any company like ECW, TNA, WCW, ROH, CHIKARA, PWG etc. What do you think where those companies best shows. It's just always something I've wondered since X-7 generally seems to be well accepted as the 'E's best show and we don't see much mention of what other companies best shows were. Thoughts?

I gotta go with Great American Bash 1989 as WCW's.
You had the battle royal, Sting vs Muta, The War Games, Luger vs Steamboat, and Flair vs Funk on there.
I'm not very familiar with other company's but I'll toss in my vote for WrestlePalooza 1998 for ECW's.
Shane Douglas vs Al Snow is a very good match imo.

WWF: Wrestlemania XIV WCW: Starrcade 1990 - Collision Course ECW: Heatwave 2000
Haven't seen enough full shows of other companies to have favorites.

How about the string of WCW PPV's in 1996, from GAB through the rest of the year. You had an undercard with guys like Mysterio, Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Psichosis, Dragon, Malenko, etc. and the NWO storyline in the main event.

NWA: Starrcade '86. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Ron Garvin vs. Big Bubba Rogers "Louisville Street Fight". The announcers were so close to the ring, you could hear Jim Cornette and Tommy Young yelling at each other constantly. (Was sub-titled "The Night Of The Skywalkers" for the main draw: The Road Warriors vs. The Midnight Express on a scaffold.)
WCW: Great American Bash 1996, easily.
ECW: I loved Barely Legal. WrestlePalooza 1998 is a very underappreciated show, very solid - save for the 10-15 minute "walk through the crowd" that was New Jack vs. Bam Bam Bigelow. (I found that event on an old video tape, and for some reason that match seemed like it was completely erased from my copy. No loss.)
