NEWSWIRE for July 3rd 2012- Ring of Honor recently announced the cancellation of live events in the Carolina’s on July 27th and 28th due to circumstances beyond our control. To curb assumption and to elaborate for our loyal fans in the area, we wish to explain further. ROH was originally scheduled in the Carolina’s on July 20th and 21st but it was switched to the following weekend before it was publically announced in order to accommodate the arenas in Winston-Salem and Spartanburg. The switch led to a few of the top ROH wrestlers unavailable due to schedule conflicts. After announcing main events of these cards, a certain top wrestler became unavailable due to personal issues. Rather than presenting these events without certain top ROH wrestlers, or present a card different from what was originally announced on the internet and in local advertising, we have opted to cancel these events and reschedule when we can present the ROH faithful with the quality of events that they deserve! - Ring of Honor would like to thank everyone who came out to the matches in both Baltimore and Pittsburgh over the weekend! We had two excellent events that everyone enjoyed and we look forward to our return to both cities! We plan on returning to Pittsburgh very soon and we will definitely be back to Baltimore on August 3rd for another set of TV Tapings! Click here to order tickets to our Baltimore return! - Congratulations to the brand NEW ROH World Television Champion Adam Cole who last Friday defeated Roderick Strong to win the championship! At only 22 years old, the sky is the limit for Adam Cole and if the first half of 2012 is any indication… Cole is definitely future World Champion material! Be sure to catch Adam Cole vs. Roderick Strong when it airs on TV in a couple of weeks. - There has been an influx in sales of the new Adam Cole T-shirt since last Friday. Be sure to order yours here before it is too late! - This week “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV is another “Road Rage” edition from Charleston, WV! The main event features a huge ROH World Championship match as defending Champion Kevin Steen faces former Champion “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards! In addition, Jay Lethal squares off with “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin and we take a look at some of the local appearances by the ROH wrestlers in Charleston! Click here to see if ROH TV airs in your area! - On Saturday night July 14th, Ring of Honor Wrestling heads to The Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee Wisconsin and joining the already announced main event of ROH World Champion Kevin Steen & Jimmy Jacobs battling The Briscoes and the rematch between "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards and “Man Beast" Rhino, ROH officials have now signed three more big match-ups for the great Milwaukee fans! Roderick Strong vs. BJ Whitmer, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin vs. Silas Young, and Jay Lethal vs. Mike Mondo! We plan on signing more fresh talent within days for ROH’s return to Wisconsin on July 14th and tickets are available right here! - Starting at noon today and running through Sunday night July 8th at midnight, Ring of Honor Wrestling is bringing to you its annual Fourth of July sale!!! This offer includes a special Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal on all ROH DVD’s from 2011 & 2012 (including compilations), 20% Off all apparel (35% off for ringside members) and a special bonus offer with all merchandise orders over $100. Please click here for details on this offer along with instructions on how to receive your free items. - Former ROH Champion Davey Richards is not currently scheduled for any upcoming ROH events. Davey has an open invitation to return at any time despite the fact that he cannot challenge Kevin Steen for the World Championship again as long as Steen is champion. “If Davey was smart he would just quit.” Stated current ROH Champion Kevin Steen. “Davey is the hardest worker I know in wrestling but it is obvious that honor is dead and evil lives. Davey, Adam Cole, ANX and everyone else can keep working hard for this company that they believe in but it will not stop myself, Steve, and Jimmy from killing it dead and spoiling the party for everyone in the locker room and everyone who pays for a ticket to see ROH wrestling. Who can stop us?” - There are a large number of questions as it pertains to The Embassy LTD, Tommaso Ciampa, Prince Nana, and Barrister RD Evans. We hope to get to the bottom of this ordeal very soon! - “Boiling Point 2012” on August 11th in Providence, RI is scheduled to be a huge event and one worth traveling many miles for! Click here for tickets - The latest episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV, is a “Road Rage” edition and it is NOW available to Ringside Members by clicking here! In the main event Jay Briscoe will battle “The Outlaw” Charlie Haas in a Texas Death Match! In addition “No Fear” Mike Mondo faces Davey Richards and highlights will air of the 4 Corner Survival Proving Ground with Roderick Strong vs. BJ Whitmer vs. Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly. - Our latest spotlight video features DEM BOYS! Be sure to check it out! - A LIMITED number of spots remain for the Ring of Honor 2-Day Seminar on Saturday August 4th & Sunday August 5th at the ROH offices in Bristol, PA. Past ROH seminars have been the catalyst for ROH signing “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett, “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa and others. Countless wrestlers who have attended our camps have appeared on ROH live events as well as television and iPPV. For more information and all of the details on how to sign up please click here. - Join us on Facebook and Twitter to share your opinion and interact with other ROH fans! - Have a wonderful 4th of July!

Yeah, Kenny screwed ROH good it seems: TNA-KENNY KING-ROH UPDATE by Mike Johnson @ 11:25 PM on 7/5/2012 Don't expect Kenny King back in Ring of Honor anytime soon.
The word making the way around the wrestlers is that King was supposed to sign an extension of several months while negotiating a new ROH deal but instead after saying he would verbally do so, went and worked TNA instead.
While the wrestlers I spoke with tonight noted that they understand that King has a daughter and needs to make money for his family, the flip side of the coin is that he left the promotion and his partner Rhett Titus in a bad position by exiting without dropping the belts.
PWInsider.com has requested comment from ROH regarding the situation as well as the status of their Tag Team belts. If and when we receive something, we'll update. Jacobs and Corino for tag champs. Let evil reign.

Ring of Honor Wrestling ROH-Kenny King Update
The appearance of ROH wrestler Kenny King on another television wrestling program tonight has raised speculation on his future as well as how this appearance could occur.
The contract Kenny King signed in June 2011 expired 11 days ago. Before that expiration, an agreement was reached between Kenny and ROH management for an extension of that contract, with a provision to allow him to negotiate with any other promotions so that he could evaluate his options and any potential interest in him elsewhere. When that short extension concluded he would then be free to accept an offer elsewhere, or sign another long term contract with ROH. Under this agreement, Kenny was free to negotiate but not to wrestle for another organization without ROH's permission.
When Kenny was presented with the written extension reflecting this verbal and handshake agreement, he informed ROH he was unsure if other promotions would accept the negotiation clause. He was told he could take the document to be examined by his attorney or other interested parties before executing it to be reassured any other offers would not be viewed as contract tampering. He also informed ROH that he would keep us apprised of any developments.
He contacted ROH on Tuesday July 3 to inform us that he had a meeting in Orlando on Thursday, July 5, which was within the scope of the agreement he had made. Then, early morning on July 5, he contacted an ROH official to say he would be wrestling on the Orlando event that night. He was told he did not have permission to appear live on television as it violated the agreement that had been made. His response was that the deal he had shaken hands on and agreed to in principle "seemed fair at the time", but "others" had told him it was not, so he did not intend to honor it.
Ring of Honor is disappointed that Kenny has chosen to make this decision, after the company had agreed to and followed through on everything he had asked for at the time of our negotiation. However, we consider this breach of his verbal agreement unacceptable, and regardless of his future employment status with any other wrestling company, ROH will not be doing business with Kenny King going forward.
A statement from ROH will be forthcoming regarding the future of the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Co-holder Rhett Titus remains on the active ROH roster. www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10257992&l=832fc8ce7f&id=71739451327

wonder if they're going to do like when Maff left in 2005: have Titus pick a new partner and face the number one contenders (in this case i think the previous champions since i don't believe there is an official number one contender) in a title match, with the winners being the new tag champs

Jacobs and Corino for tag champs. Let evil reign. That would be cool either them or Rhino/Elgin.(I think Embassy has a deal with HOT or maybe that fell through) I think Jacobs and Corino would be better with the current angle of Steen wanting to bring the whole company down. Getting further power with the tag belts would make sense. Plus if it was gonna be anyone from the HOT it would more likely be either the Guardians or Rhino/Strong because of the dissension they're teasing with Elgin. Unless they want to just hot potato the thing.

Me, I'd postpone that (which may have happened with the Carolina shows being canceled) and have Titus face Corino and Jacobs by himself (ROH offers a partner and he refuses since he and King won the belts and his partner left he feels the need to prove himself). He puts up a good fight but loses. He gets the big babyface pop and move to singles action.

is Corino even medically cleared to wrestle? No clue but at worst they could just have him stand on the apron while Jacobs and Rhett do most of the work. Maybe have Cornette make it a No DQ match to "help Rhett" and Corino can swing a chair or something to be involved.
