I just got around to seeing their match on Smackdown, and I gotta give props: it was pretty damn good. They seem to have chemistry in the ring, and since they are around the same size it makes for a good back and forth match up (instead of the david vs. goliath matches they mostly have with others). I hope that they follow up on this with a series of matches. Anyone agree?

I don't really want to see Layla at all. She's done nothing since coming back, and given no reason to see her. She gets no reaction, and hasn't stood out at all. She can't even get her own music.

No
AJ would be wasted on Diva feuds. Keep her relevant by basing her storylines with male wrestlers.

They might as well. Both good hands in the ring, and their styles compliment each other. Besides who else is Layla going to feud with now that she's done with Beth? Rosa Mendes?

As for the original question, it would be good if it was worked into a power couple angle (or that the payoff is a Bryan/AJ power couple where they're both Champion), but I wouldn't take it over the Punk/Bryan/AJ feud.

YES , YES , YES!
Because
There is no other diva right now thats more must see than AJ , and if WWE doesn't cut layla off at the knees and lets her reign continue , a feud with AJ would be exactly what her reign needs and there is not a better diva for Layla to feud with , as you saw on smackdown they have great in ring chemistry IMO and both women have personality they can bounce off one another than can get fans behind them.
And also if Layla is gonna drop the title to anyone IMO AJ is the only acceptable opponent.

Sort of, but to be honest I'd rather see an AJ vs Vickie feud as I've enjoyed their recent interactions.

Yeah, I was really impressed with both of them in their Smackdown match. Both showed a lot of athleticism and were smooth in the ring. I wish Layla could find some of that personality she used to have though.

Not really. Their match on Smackdown wasn't terrible, but we probably wouldn't even be discussing a men's match of similar length and quality.
Plus, moving AJ to the Divas title picture would probably just hurt her more than it would help the division.

It would be a huge step down if she got enmeshed in a diva's feud. I don't see that happening.

If AJ doesn't get a run with the WWE or World Heavyweight titles as suggested in another thread, then yes there might be something in this - but AJ's best stuff is clearly happening outside of the Divas division right now.

Feud? Depends on your definition of feud. Do I want AJ to beat Layla at SummerSlam? Yes. Do I want to see them have this big program that specifically involves them two? Not really.

I'm OK with anything that puts Layla on my TV screen.

AJ is by far the most compelling female character in the company, so they might as well use her in division once the Punk/Bryan angle is completed at MITB.

It would be good for Layla to have a good feud. So why not build up to them facing each other for the Divas title at Summerslam?
